the omen was scary, thinking that it may happen. the exorcist just bored me, but definently unsettling

You have not seen The Exorcist :D White Noise dosn't have a chance if you see the exorcist. Don't know how old you are but alot of ppl say the exorcist is some intens shit. But to me it's ok better than all of the somewhat exorcist ripoffs. Let say if your family is a full fledge christin and goto church, you won't like what she dose to the cross :D lol

Maybe... Nightmare On Elm Street. It wasnt VERY scary, but was still pretty chilling.

scariest movie ever? no movie is scary enough but I like the old Nightmare on elmstreet series. And resident evil is very nice too, and dawn of the dead is one of my favourites, but I guess the movie I can call scary has yet to come hehe.

clowns ARE SCARY.

clowns? It was a nice movie too but the clown was looking funny, so you think his teeth were scary? cause the face wasn't anything scary, neither were the teeth but that's my opinion lol

I once saw an old clown movie: clowns from outer space they were so funny too just hilarious

I don't think so, been watching horror movies from that age or somethin, so I'd be scared of everything in every horror movie I've seen??? the opposite is true throu, the problem is I aint scared of horror movies anymore, well I never was maybe I'm missin some nerves haha, sometimes I wish I was scared after seeing a movie, just to know how it feels lol

I have the opposite problem. I think I'll take the stairs for awhile after watching The Eye. They better not make a movie involving a scary ghost on stairs or I'm really in trouble.

Go see something besides mainstream.
I LOVEE and ADORE many of the mainstream flicks, but i hate to be the one to tell you.

There are movies much..MUCH worse.

These are just people opinions. I'm sure you think some movie was scary that I thought was just plain boring. I found the ghost scenes in Sixth Sense (and the grudge) to be very frightening because I have always had a fear of ghosts since a child. I'm not saying its the BEST HORROR MOVIE EVER because its not, but as far as scenes that actually scared ME PERSONALLY, it ranks pretty high

I hate people that are like "MAINSTREAM IS TERRIBLE YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FILM"

For me, the Exorsist is the scariest movie ever. It displays a loss of control that make most men uncomfortable. I mean, think about it; a being you can not see. Of almost infinet power and hates,hates,hates you.Hates you with a passion. Hates God even more. Absolutly dedacated to your damnation.

"The Shining" is the scariest movie around. Pure genious!

Hey now, dont jump too soon there Skoof. Ive see and love movies that alot of people in this thread havent even heared of, I gaurntee you. However, the only movie that has EVER scared me is The Blair Witch Project, and it doesnt get much more mainstream than that. It built tension so well at the end...I saw it for the first time when I was around 9...I was so terrified I had to leave the room. Despite becoming a HUGE horror fan, I refused to watch it again until sometime last year, and it still scared me. Not as much, mind you...but scary none-the-less.

i never said that other movies like the exorcist werent scary, but... think about it...


michael myers is freakin terrifying looking in the dark when you can only see his mask-face.

and seeing all of your friends dead, and, him getting away in the end... it doesnt get much worse than that.

NOES..... a supernatural thing that kills you in your sleep?? yeah, thats freaky. not to mention that he jumps out of nowhere a zillion times.
