What do you collect?
 

I collect two things actually.

I collect movies (of course)! I don't go all out there and get the same exact movie because it says "collector's edition" or anything, but I love to buy movies and my collection is building (pretty much like almost everybody on this site).

I also collect ticket stubs. I don't know why I started doing this, but I know I enjoy it! Along with that I collect my BlockBuster receipts. Another thing that I don't know why I started, but still enjoy looking over them!

Weird..but neat!! I collected lip glosses for a long time! :p

I collect movie posters from bad movies.

I also collected those Coors Light mini kegs for a while until newb brought the whole "men don't drink pussy beer" thing and I had to give the hobby up.

Issues of FAMOUS MONSTERS magazine (probably the coolest thing on the face of this earth, next to you-know-what), and vintage stage and film cosmetic products. I have a bottle of Max Factor Technicolor Blood from the 50's...an extremely old and osbolete type of fake blood formulated for Technicolor film stock. I know I am a geek, because nobody cares how cool this bottle of fake blood is.

ended up being a hobby.

- Movies (manly horror) ...STILL collecting (all format)
- Videogames (Atari 2600, C64).. STOPPED collecting (partly sold)
- Comics (Spiderman, Fantastic 4).... STOPPED (still have it)
- Music Instruments (organs, synths)..STOPPED (soon restarting)
- Porn :D

-Movies (obviously) Im still a big fan of VHS, so its not an expensive hobby for me. I'll buy the occasional DVD, but most of my DVDs were bought for me.

- I've begun to specifically collect every Hugh Grant movie and every John Cusack movie on both formats. Just for fun. Their movies are ones that I can watch over and over.

-I've collected stars since before I can remember. Anything with a star shape or pattern on it is appealing to me for some reason, so my friends all get me star stuff for my birthday. Its kinda my trademark.

I collect horror films, just like everyone else on this site, i'd imagine, and then I collect horror memorbilia too, posters, signed things, t-shirts, that stuff.

Since when did we have sympathy for retarded people? They dont know theyre retarded, and seems to me that theyre always happy. So i really dont feel bad for them, as long as they are happy....

I used to collect snow globes when I was a kid. I have three younger brothers, though. It was hard enough trying to keep my sanity intact let alone a snow globe.

I guess I collect Beatles stuff. My favorite thing would have to be my Beatles Anthology book. Lots of interesting little stories about the group in there.

I have a mad obseesion with anything related to The Clash or Joe Strummer

Movies [DVD + VHS] - Around 300 or so total

Comic books - Nothing in particular, but I have probably between 500-700 random issues of random series:D


Penguins!!! - I have close to 100 Penguin things...srtuffed penguins, penguin candles, penguin snowglobes, penguin pillows....heck, I have a huge brass penguin holding an umbrella:D If it's penguin related, it's awesome as far as Im concerned. Havent seen March of the Penguins yet....but I will! I must!

definatively movies..mainly horror...have about 150 -200 at least ..horror vhs and some dvd's..but 1 thing i collect is horror novels..mainly paperbacks..and of those..1 type i collect is collections..(ironically..) and anthologies.

I collect the souls of noobs that are banned after getting into a flame war with me. Oh, and 'Planet of the Apes' stuff. I have a shrine :D

Gargoyles-I just live their ugly little faces, I have them all over the house, in the yard, and a few at work.

Years ago in my old house I got this kool concrete gargoyle, about 24 inches tall, it weighed about 50 lbs. Someone stole it so I got pissed and bought a 4 foot 600lb one and put it in its place. Then I hung a sign on it that said "Try and steal this one fuckers" they didnt.

I like to think that the one that they stole came alive and had them for breakfast.:D

I also collect Dragons, medieval ones.

Collect horror action figures. My fav. is a Blade doll from Puppetmaster. If anyone can tell me where I can get "Jester" my services be yours for.....whatever:eek:

I also am a classic car and ugly truck collector.

Classic cars-49 and 50 Chevy, 69 VW buggy.

Ugly trucks 91 Blazer and I just bought a real ugly 81 Toyota flatbed 4x4.

I would like to get the pick up from TCM 3.

Pictures, it's become sort of an obsession...my apartment could be considered a gallery, haha. In my living room I have a lot of family pics framed ALL over the place, a lot of ones that I took and a lot of old family pics that I've restored and framed from my grandmas collection.

Misfits stuff...not TOO much there, but I have a 3 records on the wall, a clock, 3 signed shirts, pictures I took framed, a box set, stickers, and a goofy bobble head.

Marilyn Monroe stuff. In my bedroom I have 8x10's, 5x7's and posters framed everywhere(mostly nudes in there), and I have a few more in the hallway along with a framed Boulevard of Broken Dreams poster, and a framed "Heatwave" record. I'm trying to get a Marilyn knife collection going too, I have 3 so far...they're pretty cool. A clock, magnets, calendars, 3 books, a Playboy, a music CD, and movies of course...I've been working on trying to get "The Diamond Collection"....guess I'll have to ebay it.

M&M's, my mom kinda got me started collecting these things about 8 years ago...it's weird I know, but I have all the colors in large plush, all of the plush minis, Christmas tree ornaments, a coffee cup and a keychain my aunt got me from M&M's world in vegas and a few other odd balls in there too.

Betty Boop things...My aunt gets me something with her on it every Christmas since I dressed up like her for Halloween when I was 15, guess she thinks I'm THAT into her :rolleyes: Anyways, it's turned into quite a collection...I have music boxes, snowglobes, DVD'S, and whole lot of other stuff I can't think of because it's been boxed up for about 2 years seeing as I have no where to put anything anymore.

And of course movies, and CD's...no clue how many I have.

@MTC:I used to have this really great stone winged gargoyle,it was about 2 foot high.Heavy sucker too.I saved up for so long to buy it.
It sat on my front steps and protected my house for 2 years before some lil college dicks stole it.I hope it brought them curses!
Now that I live two doors from a state trooper,I'm buying a Emmet gargoyle from Tuscano(sp?)
They just recently have started casting them large.yeaaa.

My husband bought one for me when I was in the hospital thinking we might be losing our first full term baby...so,I grew attached and started buying them for special occasions.

I collect DVDs and CDs, naturally, but my true passion for collecting lies with comics. I sort of inherited my dad's collection when I was little, and just built off of it from there. I have in excess of 500 titles, plus trade paperbacks, with some valuable stuff in there. Not that I'd ever sell in any of it (unless I was in really desperate straits) but it's nice to know that my collection is worth something.

I collect Universal Studios monster figures. I have the Remco mini monster figures from the 1980s' and several other Universal monster figures, I collect Marvel Legends action figures and also have a collection of tortoises including a Red footed tortoise a Russian tortoise a Sulcatta tortoise and three box tortoises.:D

I have like 10 of my old toothbrushes still around. I'd trade one but I don't want to break up the set. I might sell them on ebay for big bucks.
