Christmas Slashers

....here are some....
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d5...collection.jpg

..anybody know of any others ?...not sequels

Splatter Phreak 11-20-2005 03:12 AM

can only think of tenuous ones:

The nightmare before xmas (not exactlyhorror, i know, but filled with spookynesses)
Gremlins was set a crimbo (Again not the most horrific movie but 'tenuous' is the key word)
Santa claws - utter crap but still it's pumped full of seasons greetings

thats all i can come up with.

I saw one at blockbuster last time I was there (last week) called "One Hell Of A Christmas" or something like that in the horror section. I didn't pay it too much attention because I normally don't rent those kinds of movies.

The Mothman 11-20-2005 07:31 PM

these all seem like good fun

IDrinkYourBlood 11-20-2005 10:00 PM

My all time fav. xmas movie is Black Christmas.

There is one called "Home For The Holidays" with a young Sally Fields that came out in the early 80's.
"Don't Open Till Christmas..." haven't seen it.
"Silent Night, Bloody Night".... boring, film is too dark to see much, and way too slow.
"Black Christmas".... been looking for that one.
"Silent Night, Deadly Night".... haven't found that one, but part 2 basically has a bunch of clips from the first one.
"Psychosanta".... haven't seen it.
"Christmas Evil".... haven't seen it, but isn't that a 'Troma' movie?
"Jack Frost".... don't get me started on that awful garbage.
"To All A Good Night".... isn't that about some spirit in a mental hospital? Or it may just be that the cover that looks similar to another film?

Is that out yet? I play this online game where you can buy and sell shares of stocks in movies and directors and stars, etc and I bought a shitload of shares of that like 6 monthes ago because it was really cheap. Then when the value increased a little per share (alot for me because I had so many shares) I sold them all off.

Anyways, it's a pretty cool website. We should see about getting an HDC group set up there. The website is www.hsx.com if anyone's interested. (It's free.) You start with 2 million bucks to invest in anything you want. I sank all 2 mil into Land of the Dead rigth before it came out and I lost my ass! Haha. I dipped all the way down to 900k because of that, but now I'm back up to about 3 million.

There's one that has a similar looking building that's about a mental asylum and some evil spirit or something is roaming around the place. But then again, look at the Cover of "Gates Of Hell 2" and "Funeral Home" and they're almost 100% identical, with the exception of some very minor changes. Oh yeah, and "Gates Of Hell" part 2 sucked major ass, by the way.
lol@Goldberg as a Killer Santa. :D That should at least be worthy of at least one rental. ;)

I dunno.... I thought when Eric Freeman's character Ricky impaled that one guy in the gut with that umbrella, growled the word "PUNISH!" and opened it up as dude slid against the wall. That, and "GARBAGE DAY!" when he shot that guy. Classic cheese, really stupid, but classic. :D

bwind22 11-29-2005 10:16 PM

I just got Black Christmas from Netflix. I haven't seen it yet, but I can't wait to watch it in the morning.

Lorre 11-30-2005 01:05 PM

Wasn't the female main character in Black Christmas the woman who played Norman Bates' mother in Psycho 4?

eastsidemotel6 12-01-2005 01:38 AM

I saw One Hell of a Christmas last year...pretty crappy. I believe the old Tales for the Crypt film had a Christmas segment.

slasherman 12-08-2005 04:54 AM

Oh God.... "Jack Frost".... I wanted to gouge my eyes out after watching that awful crapfest. And it pisses me off when the creature looks nothing like it does on the box. It looked like a pissed off Michelin Man. I was expecting a plug for selling winter tires.

imop black christmas is not only one of if not the best christmas slasher, its one of the best of all time( i give it points for the ending, at the time everything else had happy fucking endings.

'tis an awesome movie.

bludsukinfreek 12-11-2006 07:11 AM

I have none to add but that is a great list - I'm going to rent a few on netflix and have a night of horror christmas movies. The one on the list I've seen pretty frequently is Christmas Evil, which imo is an awesome horror xmas movie. Check it out if you haven't seen it.

SKOOFx 12-13-2006 08:37 AM

Jack Frost 1 and 2 and seriously 2 of my fav movies.

Yes. They are cheap and pathetic.

But to me, its like wathing saved by the bell.

With a killer snowman.

Spec7ral 12-13-2006 05:44 PM

pretty sure any movie when a snowman stix a carrot inside a woman is pretty fucking sweet.

Couldnt agree with kpro more about black xmas and silent night deadly night. Black xmas is just creepy whereas silent night deadly night is just a riot.

Razorghost 10-06-2010 01:31 PM

If you love horror films that have a christmas theme to it then you will love Trancers(1985) while it is classified as a sci-fi the trancers in this movie have a creepy looking zombie like look to them, there is murder in the film and the best scene in the whole film was when Jack walked into the mall and had a fight with the killer Santa in front of all the kids.

All movie long you see Christmas in the background and for an added bonus it has a young 22 year old Helen Hunt as a main character.

I classify this as a Christmas horror movie and if you truly like christmas themed horror then you will love this underrated gem of a movie.
