What's Your Halloween line-up?
If there is a thread like this, I was unable to find it... Anyway, I am sure I am not the only one that spends Halloween in the dark with a stack of horror movies...
So what are you going to watch this year? My boyfriend and I have decided on these movies: Land of the Dead Halloween 6 Dolls Nightmare on Elm Street High Tension ...and we plan to go see Saw 2 late that night. YOUR TURN!! Also, anyone seen the "Boo!" movie that is released on DVD this week? I've never heard of it... |
Cool, that's the only way to watch horror movies. :) I rent a lot of horror films at this one place in town cause all horror movies are $0.25 each on Halloween. Thank God I came across the stinkers I was afraid to rent. I also realized that movies made by Dead Alive Productions, York Entertainment and Full Moon are movies in general to avoid. I'm also weary about movies that have almost no desciption of the film itself on the box.

Haha just kidding. Here's mine: (Subject to change) -Halloween -The Exorcist -Night of the Living Dead ('68) -Re-Animator -The Evil Dead -The Thing -Texas Chainsaw Massacre ('74) And probably a Saw II sometime this weekend. |
|
I'm definitely not wasting my money watching "The Thing" even though I love that movie. The cable channel played the damn movie so many times that right now, I'm a little tired of seeing it. I try to get a hold of "horror deals" at video stores so I can rent movies I haven't seen for cheap and it's not so much of a kick in the ass if the movie sucks. People don't know how I can go through 8 to 10 videos in like 4 hours. Simple, if the movie isn't scary or creepy, I fast forward to look for headpounding gore. It needs at least one of the 3. If not, it gets tossed out, and crossed off my "collection list".

Re-Animator
Suspiria Repulsion Candyman It Serpent and The Rainbow Zombi 2 Land of the Dead Halloween Jacob's Ladder and a lot more, still making the list. Haloween weekend, a bunch of horror flicks, lots of drinks, and some friends... WOOHOO. |
I have to work on Halloween night.
But that doesn't mean I don't have movies to watch. So far, I've got my list down to The Changeling, Halloween, and Evil Dead. Maybe I'll throw in The Haunting if I'm not too tired. |
The Thing
Friday the 13th NOES NOLD '68 Entity...that movie just freaks me out The Exorcist '73 original Bram Strokers Dracula...that is my fav love story :) Dawn of the Dead SAW TCM (rerelease) Wrong Turn I also want to see SAW II, I think its going to kick some ass my friends! |
i've been doing an entire month long horror movie watching theme in my dorm. i've watched 1 or more everyday of this month and then im going to end the month with watching a bunch in a row. so far ive gotten through these:
Nightmare on Elm street 1-6 Friday the 13th 1-8 jason goes to hell jason X freddy vs jason wes craven's new nightmare the ring final destination dead and breakfast candyman 1&3 troll 1&2 wrong turn texas chainsaw massacre (remake) doom night of the living dead ('68) |
old school movies.
Em actually going to be alone that night as it seems all of my family and freinds are tired of the nervous wreck thingy after watching my movies..lol.
Em grabbing as many old school movies as i can for a non stop night..and of course Blacula being the top of my list Salems lot house that never dies mummy dearest...(not a horror but quite thrilling) etc. I will be wearing my white contacts and will be dressed all in black..(of course). There will not be a light on in the whole house. |
Have you ever noticed that the cable network plays all the good horror movies everyday in October but Halloween? What the hell is up with that?

After Ginger and I take her son out trick or treating, then we'll be staying up all night watching:
Ginger Snaps A Nightmare on Elm Street Halloween Bubba Ho-Tep The Texas Chainsaw Massacre |
I'm going out on Halloween...
|
Well after I go out Trick or Treating ofcourse we will probably watch Halloween, although I would like to watch something new! I feel like Ive seen almos t everything there is to see. I need suggestions dammit:D
|
lol Seeing how one of the local video stores has $0.25 horror rentals on the 31st, I need to take that day off so I can rent a whole lot of movies so I know what sucks and what doesn't for practically pocket change. If the movie does suck, it's not like I spent $3 per crappy movie. ;)

Don't think Halloween is celebrated in Finland like it is in the US. But as I mentioned in another thread, there's an annual film festival called Night Visions, at the end of October. This year's highlight for me is the Corpse Bride.
Here's the line-up: Exorcism of Emily Rose Corpse Bride The Descent The Devil's Rejects Domino Demons Supersonic Man From Beyond Pervert! Linda Lovelace for President I Spit On Your Grave That's a four-hour trip by bus to Helsinki for an all-night film festival and another four hours back the following morning. :) |
Here's one that didn't make sense to me. It's labeled as a horror movie, but there's nothing scary about it at all. "Habitat", and it seemed to revolve around heavy foliage and this kid's father that turned into some type of pollen lifeforce? What the hell is that?

I am the exact same way. |

that is a nice line up |
Anything and Everything...all month long.
Among the ones shown: Horrors of Spider Island Halloween Halloween III Blood Thirst Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things The Incredible Melting Man Curse of the Demon Vampire's Night Orgy The Haunting The Fog Beware! The Blob |
I think I'll settle in and watch some of the oldies but goodies.
The Phantom of the Opera Night of the Living Dead Metropolis Dracula White Zombie |

If there's alcohol involved, that had better be Vodka and Redbull to have a houseload of wide-awake drunks. :p
Damn, MiskatonicKitty. You've got some really good ones goin there. I wonder if Argento is ever gonna complete the trilogy? "Phenomena" AKA "Creepers" but you've got the unrated version. And ya gotta give em a plus for using real maggots. :D As for myself, I'll be taking the 31st off to watch a lot of horror movies for 25 cents per so I don't have to spend an arm and a leg just in case the movies are crappy. :) |
This Halloween it will have to be:
Silence of the Lambs Freddie v. Jason Ringu Ring 0 and also Downfall. |
