Fuck the Police!
I should be posting in the pissed off thread, but... I want to make sure everyone reads this. Today two State Troopers from West Virginia, Beat the fuck out of my brother-in-law! I am very pissed about this and really trying to find out what I can do. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. My brother is at the hospital now, he is really hurt. I just want to do something about this!!! sorry for the grammar im just toooo pissed to type!:(
I have proof, the marks all over his body, hes vomiting blood, they punched him in his nuts and hes pissing blood, also he may even have some broken ribs. We just found out the cops know he is at the hospital and they are probably going to do something even worse now. Its hard to calm down when im this pissed!
Yea thanks we didnt think of that! We did call a lawyer!
My mother-in-law is kinda scared that when they leave the hospital that the police are going to try to pull them over. I cannot believe this has happened, they duped him in the driveway and he couldnt even walk to the door!
You shouldn't let this bias your views on all police, many of them do their jobs very well, and are in it to protect the rights of the innocent. I'm not saying to just let this go, just don't be hating all cops, because one day, you could be in need of one.
As Trippin' said, you're probably going to want some solid evidence, witnesses...etc, because sadly, a beaten up body can only prove that somebody WAS assaulted, not by who. A hospital should have all kinds of security, so I don't think you'd have anything to worry about in terms of them visiting him...however, I'm wondering what your brother in law did to bring this on? I mean...sure it sounds like an over-reaction, but I find it hard to believe it was COMPLETELY unprovoked. You'd better talk to him and make sure he's not keeping anything from you, and yeah, asking for a security detail shouldn't be a problem. Also, if he's sustained a serious hit to the nuts, blood at the mouth isn't uncommon. Pissing blood, however...that would usually indicate some other kind of damage, no doubt the hospital will check this out. |
Hope your brother's okay. That sounds really scary. Seems like DJ's got some really great advice. I hope this thing gets sorted out.
His ex-girlfriend told the police that he stole $300, shes a pill head, they took him in for questioning and he was there for hours and came home this way. I know it wasnt provoked, and Im not bias because of this I already hated cops!
We are trying to stay calm and im trying to keep my husband calm because the police station is a five min walk from here. We are thinking about calling the news, that was a good idea!!!!
The police just called, they are looking for my brother, people are saying they are pissed and they are getting mouthy with my husband now!!! uhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Im going to go off, im pissed!!!!
I guess the police are going to harass us now! Im scared now, they said they are going to arrest my husband because he wouldnt tell them his name on the phone. My kids are here, we are staying at my mother-in-laws, and they are scared!!!!
They are really pissed because he went to the hospital. I dont understand any of this, they say they are going to arrest my husband for not telling his name or where his brother is. This must have happened before because a nurse at the hospital told them this needs to stop! I told my husband to go to the river bank and stay until they leave, we are just waiting on them to show up now!
BTW.....he was called in to the police station for an interview, nothing more! Some interview huh?!
We got some news from the hospital, they took a urine sample, a blood sample and put an IV in, they havent told him much. He has choke marks on his neck , bruises on his stomach and chest! I understand what Cheeba is saying, the fact that they are troopers makes it even more true!
We are trying to get through to his lawyer now! Its 9:30pm here so its kinda hard to get him. I know he is innocent, he has a bad past and the police dont like him! I dont know how it works everywhere else but thats how it works here!
We just wish the hospital would tell us whats going on!:(
We talked to the hospital, they have security with him, also there is something wrong internally, they are admitting him!
Were trying!!!!!!!
I dont understand why the police want him, maybe its because he went to the hospital and told! I just hope his lawyer sues the fuck out of them!!!!!!

Lesson to be learned. DO NOT TRUST AUTHORITY. My ladies family are all Chicago cops, and I can tell you from being on the inside that there is much truth to what I just said. They can do whatever they want to whoever and whenever. Its a reality and you all better get used to it. |
Cops are always the bad guy... . I sure he did nothing to deserve an ass whippin.

No. Fuck the Highway Patrol. My brother is a cop in a very crime ridden city, so I can appreciate what B was saying. However, this kind of violence is what makes my bro hate his job. He also hates the highway patrol, because they're assholes. Also, the hp hates regular cops too.
I'll keep you bro-in-law in my thoughts and prayers. Contact me if you "need" anything. I've got a grimoire and I'm not afraid to use it. |
Thanks Haunted, they arent all bad, just WV troopers. I hope something good comes out of this, we trust the police to protect us and when they do something like this its hard to, but I have family members who are also police officers in Ohio. Thanks again though and I hope your bro stays safe at his job, it is a dangerous job in some cities!

Lets not throw a blanket statement and say all cops are bad, but I am more than willing to say that there are a majority who are on a power trip and believe that they can do anything that they damn well please. |
Not to bash the cops but...Two New Orleans Police Officers Videotaped Punching 64-Year-Old Man; Another Hit APTN Producer
By MARY FOSTER The Associated Press NEW ORLEANS - Two New Orleans police officers repeatedly punched a 64-year-old man accused of public intoxication, and another city officer assaulted an Associated Press Television News producer as a cameraman taped the confrontations. There will be a criminal investigation, and the three officers were to be suspended, arrested and charged with simple battery Sunday, Capt. Marlon Defillo said. "We have great concern with what we saw this morning," Defillo said after he and about a dozen other high-ranking police department officials watched the APTN footage Sunday. "It's a troubling tape, no doubt about it. ... This department will take immediate action." The assaults come as the department, long plagued by allegations of brutality and corruption, struggles with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the resignation last month of Police Superintendent Eddie Compass. The APTN tape shows an officer hitting the man at least four times in the head Saturday night as he stood outside a bar near Bourbon Street. The suspect, Robert Davis, appeared to resist, twisting and flailing as he was dragged to the ground by four officers. Another of the four officers then kneed Davis and punched him twice. Davis was face-down on the sidewalk with blood streaming down his arm and into the gutter. Meanwhile, a fifth officer ordered APTN producer Rich Matthews and the cameraman to stop recording. When Matthews held up his credentials and explained he was working, the officer grabbed the producer, leaned him backward over a car, jabbed him in the stomach and unleashed a profanity-laced tirade. "I've been here for six weeks trying to keep ... alive. ... Go home!" shouted the officer, who later identified himself as S.M. Smith. Police said Davis, 64, of New Orleans, was booked on public intoxication, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and public intimidation. He was treated at a hospital and released into police custody. A mug shot of Davis, provided by a jailer, showed him with his right eye swollen shut, an apparent abrasion on the left side of his neck and a cut on his right temple. "The incidents taped by our cameraman are extremely troubling," said Mike Silverman, AP's managing editor. "We are heartened that the police department is taking them seriously and promising a thorough investigation." Davis, who is black, was subdued at the intersection of Conti and Bourbon streets. Three of the officers appeared to be white, and the other is light skinned. The officer who hit Matthews is white. Defillo said race was not an issue. Three of the five officers including Smith are New Orleans officers, and two others appeared to be federal officers. Numerous agencies have sent police to help with patrols in the aftermath of Katrina. Under normal circumstances, it takes unusually offensive behavior to trigger an arrest on Bourbon Street. But New Orleans police have been working under stressful conditions since the hurricane. Officers slept in their cars and worked 24-hour shifts after the storm. Three-quarters lost their homes and their families are scattered across the country. "Our police officers are working under some very trying times," Defillo said. "So it's a difficult time, but it doesn't excuse what our jobs are supposed to be." Many officers deserted their posts in the days after Katrina, and some were accused of joining in the looting that broke out. At least two committed suicide. Conditions have improved officers now have beds on a cruise ship but they don't have private rooms and are still working five, 12-hour days. Compass, the police superintendent, resigned Sept. 27. Despite more than 10 years of reform efforts dating to before he took office, police were dogged by allegations of brutality and corruption. On Friday, state authorities said they were investigating allegations that New Orleans police broke into a dealership and made off with nearly 200 cars including 41 new Cadillacs as the storm closed in. That's been weighing heavily on my mind. I wanna talk to my brother about it. That just scares me. If you watch Cops on tv, you can see them being overly aggressive. I've seen shows where the police are just pummeling some drunk schmo and he's like, "What are you doing?" People tend to be a little confused when five dudes with billy sticks start whaling on them...or punching them in the head.

They are basically on a powertrip and think that they can just do whatever. I live in an area where everyone knows the local sheriff. Word got around that the county had hired a new deputy who then shows up at the local gas station in full SWAT gear one evening. WHY??? From what I understand because he could. Went from a mall ninja to a county sheriff in a county where there is virtually no crime. The only thing we have problems with around here are occasional meth labs and the locals have been taking care of that in thier own way because the mall ninjas are too busy pulling over local teenagers, yanking them out of the car and slamming their heads into the hood for no good reason. The officer has already been given a reprimand for his behavior. When I was in my early 20s, a county sheriff gave me the business end of a flashlight in the gut for mouthing off. Should I have been mouthing off to the cops??? NO. SHould I have gotten a beat down, probably not. Guess he must have had a stressful day. I am not going to be an apologist for the likes of "Rodney King" he was told to lay on the ground, which he did not and he lunged at officiers several times, our great non-biased media doesnt show that, so they beat him senseless. Maybe it was a bit excessive and maybe they should of blown his sorry ass away instead. One less piece of human garbage in the world. ANd Haunted, Blessings on your brother for what he does. Its a job I wouldnt want to deal with. I am sure that he doesnt fall under the category of "Bad Cop" but it seems to be developing into an epidemic whereas the police and the citizens are at war with each other. Sadly the citizens arent aware of it quite yet. |

No, there shouldn't be, they're on tape, wtf needs to be investigated? Even if he did something wrong and was justifiably being arrested he didn't resist, yet they beat the holy hell out of him, case closed. |

I dont give a shit what kind of scum any cop has to deal with, if they dont like it then they can fucking quit. Nobody is forcing anyone to do a job. ANd just because you have a badge and a gun doesnt make you right. Everyone makes mistakes including cops, but they took a job knowing that they are to be held to a higher standard. And when it says "to protect and serve" that means everyone including the scum. Oh and by the way civil servants work for "US" not the gummit. |

I believed that. This is why I am offically waiting 2 months after new people sign up before making a decision,if that. I will never trust again:( |
