Okay this is pretty simple...name something you find rather disturbing...but at the same time...fascinating/intriguing...

Mine.....death, space, the ocean...and....that's all I can think of for now:D

Why nursery rhymes were so dark, yet amusing....

Nursery rhymes and fairy tales were made up as lessons for children. And the best way to get a kid to listen is scare the hell out of 'em. There's also some that are just derived from dark folklores.

...All the ones I ever heard when I was a kid, were more entertaning than, learning any lesson....:p

While searching online recently, I came across a picture of one of the Jack The Ripper murders.

I had seen the picture of Marie Jeanette Kelly's body before, but this picture had a red hue to it (don't know if it was done now or then or even if it has just turned that color with age), but it really changed the picture.

You could see bone and stuff that had always been there, but I had never noticed before...

Yeah, the ones you heard, I'm referring to a long time ago when they were first written.

All early nursery rhymes was written to scare kids.

Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood and Hansel & Gretal all died viciously.

I just wonder, would they have an effect on children now?
