...Bed Time...
Ive been pondering.
When you people were children, what was your first parentally enforced "bed time"? Also, did it change with age? How did that go? Were there trial periods at later times before permanent implimentation? Also, at what age did your parent/s/guardian/s just stop giving a fuck about it? Here's mine. *Up until the age of 6, It was 7:30pm. *At 7, It was 8:00pm, IF I ws watching a show that carried over. *At 8, It went up to 8:30pm...first of all for few nights a week, then all the time. *At the age of 10, After pushing little by little, it went up to 10:30pm, but I'd stay awake in my room reading or like...dissassembling/reconstructing electrical devices and toys until I got bitched at. *At 12-13, around about when I started going to highschool, I was allowed to stay up 'til midnight, and I could quietly watch tv in my room thereafter...this was the beggining of my "bed time' independance....bit by bit the boundaries were deconstructed, and at one point, my mother caught me watching tv at about 2am in the living room, half asleep, I was told "you stupid boy, I just don't care anymore, don't blame me if you can't wake up for school in the morning!" (Like I cared). From that point onwards, I was free! Tell me your stories...assuming some of you ancient folk can actually remember. - B |
Mine was always between 9 and 10...but...I could push it whenever necessary...

Mine was 10...I think, im not old but my memory is shot. Anyway, my parents never stopped giving a fuck, they still tell me what to do at 21 yrs old!:rolleyes:

Now, my parents have givin up telling me when to go to bed [nt that Id listen anyway], but usually I try to get to sleep by 10, I have a paper route so I gotta get up really early *yawn* |

I had no set time until I had a stable homelife at 13 and my bedtime was 9pm and when I turned 15,it was up to me to decide.

Hows this? I got a pizza menu...*gooooosfraba*... They have dessert pizzas. I found a new one that they didn't have last time. The Malibu: Sliced Mango & rasberries on a cream patisserie base topped with white chocolate pieces, shredded coconut and drizzled with Malibu rum... All going well, I will be eating one tonight, and...you'll all be dead. Scratch that. I meant "and you won't", unless of course you go out and make one, just to spite me, but that'd be petty. However, I'll overlook that if any of you actually DO...I'll be interested in your end result, at least, if I don't forget. It was 9 until I was 10.
It was 10:30-11 until I was 13. It was midnight until I was 15 then it was whatever. On Sunday and Monday I was allowed to stay up until football and/or wrestling went off. |

ach... by the time i was 11 i was allready to mean a brat to be held back by rules, if i got sendt to bed id sneak out so eventualy they realised it was pointless...ach...

after Roseanne and Mama's Family went off, so like 11pm or so. Now that they don't come on at night anymore, I just don't know where to go with my life....so I just sleep at random points thru out the day. I'm generally out before 7pm.
