How SCARY are WE?

Do any of you think YOU look "SCARY"? I myself, have sort of got an "Amy Lee from Evanescence" thing goin' on...

bloodrayne 12-03-2003 08:02 PM

Well...People say I'm scary all of the time...I'm not sure if it's just because I'm a redhead, or because my eyes actually turn green when I get mad...Maybe it's just because I basically have a "DON'T F**K WITH ME" look...At least, that's what people tell me...:D

Arioch 12-03-2003 11:22 PM

I dont know about scary but i certain depart from the norm. Long hair wearing all black and tight fitting pants. I get mistaken for a female constantly, i even get hit on by guys in the car lol. Its pretty crazy.

avenger00soul 12-04-2003 05:46 AM

I think I'm about as normal looking as you get. That's why people think it's so odd when they find out what movies I watch and what bands I listen to. I don't "dress my music", you know.

meetthecreeper 12-04-2003 05:46 AM

Take a look at the pic in the upper left hand corner of this post, my wife says I have an uncanny resemblence to that man, AKA Charles Manson. Sometimes I dont wear a beard, but I have long hair down the middle of my back, am just under 6' and about 210. I am a big guy. Plus I wear a lot of black and military surplus stuff. Wife says I dont smile much, and I tend to look pissed off. I dont think so but... Used to ride w/ some unsavory characters. Plus I dont talk much, unless I have something important to say. Get to know me I am a pretty nice guy, but I dont take shit off a nobody and those that give it to me know what will happen.

Grow a beard or mustache, thats what I did, used to happen to me all the time too. My son has long hair and evrybody always says how cute she is, he weres boys clothes and if he wants to wear his hair long, thats his business. Anyway why be normal, some of us werent cut out to run with the crowd.

VenomX 12-04-2003 08:32 AM

I camoflouge perfectly among the normal people.

mudsliptones 12-04-2003 09:06 AM

Im normal looking
but people are scared of me somehow, maybe cause I have a long goate or something
and well, my room is filled with horror stuff lol
well not filled but still

ChaoticMinister 12-04-2003 10:40 AM

I don't try to present a horrific image or anything... I don't see the point in it, really. People won't really give a rat's ass. But I do like to keep a very quiet and cool (almost too cool :-P) composure whenever I'm doing something. Everyone always asks me if I'm upset or if I'm angry or sad or something. I'm not. My face just sort of has this detached, calm, I don't care kind of look to it.

However, my nose is scary. It has a little bump in the middle, giving me that evil witch/normal jew look (I'm not implying that Jews are evil, or anything).

Oh, my penis leans horrifically to the right. Does that count? :-P

*FADE OUT*

abbycomix 12-04-2003 12:21 PM

Not too scary unless you're scared of rock n' roll chicks with bleached hair, spiky belts, and dog collars. :p
I also like to wear a funny hat with cat ears sometimes. Maybe that would scare someone afraid of cats.

moonsorrow 12-04-2003 01:22 PM

decide for your self, demon to some revelation to other.

teenagezombie 12-04-2003 02:48 PM

i dont think im scarry but at school people (i.e. teachers, students, most gothic people, the huge 6'3 230lb football players get out of my way) i wear black...mostly, i have long nails that i always paint black, i wear leather, tight black pants, etc. i wear dog collars, spikes and i have a 00 gage in my left ear and a 4 in my right (i plan on getting a double scaple in the right) i wear heavy eyeshadow, masscara, and eyeliner, sometimes i wear black lipstick or gray, or none at all. i wear army boots and i have a pair that look exactly like the ones jean simmons wears. w/o makeup (on somedays i dont wear makeup) i somewhat resemble ragan from the original exorcist (before she got possessed) but im not as nice as she is. i have sholder length jet black hair, i wear a trench coat but not always, i do take it off at school, i have a dragon tattoo on my left sholderbone, a double naval piercing with a weird barbedwire/spiked ring around it, and several others you cant see. no facial piercings, but i do plan on a 10 gage centre someday. people say im either in to witchcraft or devil worshiping. my neighbor even asked my mom once if she considered getting an exorcist for me but ive always been this way even when i was little i always wore black or dark colors. ive never been pink and frilly. i dont think im scarry but id say im far from normal. and dont usually smile and someone usually pisses me off before i get to school so im not always in a good mood. i wear alot of braclets and necklaces, a few rings. i dont try to be scarry, i guess i just seem that way to people who dont know me but im usually really nice unless u piss me off or i just dont like you. ive tried to be what society considers normal a few times it just didnt work out. lol and i have been known to scare little kids (which i would never do on purpose, i have 2 younger siblings)and they're not scared of me.

i also have a skin disease that does not permit me to stay out in the sun ( i had on the strongest sunscreen they had on the market once and i still got a 3rd degree sunburn) so im very very pale, and i was also born with abnormally sharp front canine teeth ( some what like a wolf's teeth, very sharp) but i cant help that i was born that way, my lil bro told all his little friends at school i was a vampire, and would hunt them down and drink their blood so they would stop picking on him and a few days latter they were beating him up when i arrived at his elementry school to pick him up, they ran screaming, so i am a freak of nature lol

Ritualistic 12-04-2003 03:32 PM

i am leaning more towards meetthecreeper personality. only I am a female.. so I dont have facial hair.. LOL
I have many people ask me "why don you smile?" so I guess I have that "I am pissed off look" oh well I am who I am and I dont pretend to be something I am not so that is all that matters to me.

dethbyfire 12-04-2003 03:51 PM

i am glad to see others dont smile. I very rarley smile and not because im mad but that is how i am. As for my appearence i used to be considered in the "norm" I wore whatever my mother bought me because it meant i didnt have to spend money but about 5 years ago that changed. I wear all black like most of you described and i wear more jewelry then any of my female friends. I started growning my hair out so its shoulder length. Havent cut it in a year. I also wear arm boots. I love them because they last. I dont wear tight clothes. I find them uncomfortable. As for piercings i have ears done as most people do and i have two side by side labrets that i just aquired recently. I also wear glasses because i find contacts to be too much work. I dont consider myself scary but many consider me odd but hell its got its advantages. When you are walking in a crowded area you very rarly have to move for people because they seem to want to get out of my way. The thing that is the wierdest is i dont hang out with anyone that dresses similar to me. All of my friends dress in the "norm". Proves how you dress doesnt really matter to anyone but yourself because its how you act that really matters

Same.

D'Lo 12-04-2003 06:26 PM

I'm a normal schmuck I guess. I love hardrock & metal music and watch all kinds of movies (although lots of my favourite movies are in the horror genre). People are always shocked when I tell them that I like that stuff. As mentioned here before, I also don't dress like the music I like. I feel comfortable the way I am, and that's the point, I guess. So to answer the question, I don't think I'm scary...

carriekinz 12-04-2003 07:21 PM

I, too, am one of the "normal-looking" members around here. In fact, I've been told that I am very lady-like, proper, polite and...yup, boring! LOL But what can you do? These people have a hard time accepting that I love horror movies, Dobermans and Rottweilers and some band that call themselves Insane. Crazy...but some folks think only "spooky-looking" people are interested in scary stuff! (Nothing wrong with being "spooky-looking", just for the record...I am always intrigued when I see people that are different. I'd love to be confident enough in myself that I could wear whatever, whereever and not feel uncomfortable. I like blending into the background and going unnoticed. KWIM?)

I wish i could be this way, alot of people dress that way to GET the attention, but i like to be left alone and it gets me noticed by all the wrong crowds.

MichaelMyers 12-04-2003 07:58 PM

I guess I'm the same as some other people in looking like your normal college kid. Nobody would ever be able to tell I'm into the stuff. My wardrobe usually consists of me rolling out of bed and throwing a sweater on. I don't care what people think.

cheebacheeba 12-04-2003 10:16 PM

I kinda have a "dark" look, in that if it's not black, dark grey or dark blue, you won't see me in it, I'm about 5'10, broadish shoulders, dark straight medium length brown hair, very pale complexion, and light blue eyes. I also have the poker-face thing going on, I always have...some people say I look a little threatening, they used to call me the terminator at college when I wore my shades....

daevidcardiac 12-05-2003 12:31 AM

my clothes are scary because i dont wash them

That's exactly how I feel. I'm not a big fan of people so to be left alone suits me just fine.

I m with you man, I too just want to be left alone, me and my twisted self, it seems that so-called normal people gravitate to people who are different. I dont think that I ever tried to portray a dark image its just the way I feel comfortable with myself. I have really long hair, and I shaved my head once, of course everybody then assumes your a Nazi, then I decided to grow my hair back,I never felt comfortable until it was touching my shoulders again. Just the way I am I guess, I have always found that people that are so-called freaks have been my best friends. I used to hang out with some tough looking biker types, nicest people you will ever meet.

Hell yeah love that movie

Randal: This job would be great if it want for the fuckin customers.

mictlan 12-05-2003 11:59 AM

I guess it depends on who you are trying to scare.

I like to dress nice, would wear a suit and tie every day if my lifestyle accomodated it (see photo here), but for some reason I usually don't. Black and midnight blue or seafoam green are preferred colors. Two earrings. I like my hair short but rarely have it cut so it's usually shaggy. I'm out of the habit of dyeing it because of work but would bleach my hair if I could. Tattoos are not visible when I am clothed, and I don't walk around naked in public. The only brand name I wear is Sanrio - wallets, pens, stationery.

People only get scared of me when they actually get to know me. I like (of course) horror films, weird music, modern literature, spicy food and lots of alcohol. For some reason that's enough to scare people... but those are the people I don't want to know anyway.

Killer Clown#1 12-05-2003 02:37 PM

I look pretty normal, people also say I look alot like Bruce Cambell:)

No doubt, what a major bummer of an ending.

teenagezombie 12-07-2003 11:24 AM

i too would like to be left alone, but i dont blend in because then i would be a.....poser, if you will. but for some reason people just wont take the hint and shut up. ex: i just got back a little while ago from a beta convention (ya i know funny ha ha) and it was a weekend thing and i had to room with these to "normal" girls from school. the entiire time we were in the room together they asked stupid questions like: y do u wear so many braclets? if someone walked into u would your spikes stab them like a knife would? dont u get tired of black? y dont you wear sweatpants, they have black ones they would be way more comfortable. and when i put my pjs on for bed (blact t-shirt and red dragon pants) one girl goes HA shelly i told you she wore black 24-7, look she even sleeps in it. and if that wasnt bad enough they started with the religion shit. i.e. do u believe in god? ur going to hell do u know that? do u worship the devil? some1 at skool said u saw him what does he look like? does he have a tail? what abt horns? do you drink blood? u have teeth just like a vampire, and that whole sunlight thing is freaky. if i got up to leave they would follow

all i want is to be left alone, but like the saying goes people in hell want ice water, and their not getting it so :(

does anyone know y people feel they have to ask such stupid questions? do they do it just to piss me off or what?

abbycomix 12-07-2003 11:49 AM

It's because they're scared stupid kids. In high school i got a lot of that, people saying I was a witch (OK, I dabbled a little. heh!) and worshipped the devil (ahem, no! I don't even believe in the devil!) just because I wore boots, spikes, black, and was into punk rock and roll. But I found once I moved to college in the big city that all pretty much disappeared. It seems once you're an 'adult' especially in the city, people mind their own business a lot more. This is in NYC, I can't speak for middle america tho.

FreddyFan 12-07-2003 03:15 PM

I'm a normal looking person like avenger. But some say that I look scary without my glasses on.

The very same here in TX.

SoUl SuRvIvOrS 12-07-2003 04:46 PM

The only thing I have been told is scarey about me is my mind and my way of thinking. My parents like to believe I am average..but my friends respect me for my philosophily..If you dont like what Im wearing or how I did my hair YOU DONT HAVE TO LOOK AT ME. Pretty much not too worried about others either deal with me or fuck off. Im 5'5 blonde(now blue) hair blue eyes and about 120lbs and have no problem telling people where they can stick their opinions. Oh yea Im a three year kick boxing ( not tae bo) student. I keep to myself alot but Im not afraid to voice my opinion. Staying in the shadows is always nice but some time you have to put people in there place....and I must say I LOVE doing it:D

VenomX 12-08-2003 09:25 AM

I know that I stated earlier that I blend in pretty well, but thats really not as true as I thought. I was talking to my main squeeze about it, and she pointed out to me that I do not look normal because every single shirt I have has either Spider-Man or a member of the Justice League on it.

But I don't care...Spider-Man is cool.

nightbreed 12-08-2003 10:19 AM

hmmm

6'5' 250 bleached chin length hair. horror shirts, black dickies, skateshoes/ newrock boots, hoodies, and a coupla piercings. lip 12 gu, ears, 6gu.

I would say i dress my music but thats only b/c i listen to just about everything, so long as its good. Metal, industrial, Real Hip-Hop Hardcore (not that shit you see on Mtv), rivet, Psychobilly, Surf, Techno, etc. I'm extremely eclectic. I can kick it with anyone, so long as theyre chill, regaurdless of their musical tastes or social circle.

but yeah.
