meeting Bruce Campbell tomorrow

I mean, hopefully, depending on scheduling and shit, but anyways:

One Night Only!
Thursday, August 25 at the Tivoli Theatre!
Bruce Campbell IN PERSON for Book Signing,
Followed by Q&A and Film Screening!

The screening is for a movie called The Man with the Screaming Brain:
Director/co-writer Bruce Campbell stars as William Cole, a wealthy industrialist and ruthless businessman who goes looking for a tax shelter in the former Eastern European bloc, only to wind up the guinea pig for a mad scientist, who merges Cole’s brain with that of Yegor (Vladimir Kolev), a former KGB operative. The two couldn't be more different, but they share one thing—both were killed by the same woman (Tamara Gorski). William and Yegor form an unlikely partnership to track down their common nemesis. Co-stars Ted Raimi, Stacy Keach, Antoinette Byron and Remington Franklin.

Zombee 08-25-2005 05:56 AM

I met him at a book signing a few years ago when he was releasing "If Chins Could Kill". It was at a Barnes and Noble and there where a shit ton of people there. He was soooo cordial and down to earth it was great. Hella funny guy too. Ok let me stop swinging from his sack now..

haha, it's a valid excuse dammit! My friend and I had planned to go for weeks now, but after working all day, and getting rained on...curling up on the sofa sounds like a much nicer evening.

THAT´s the question STE should ask Bruce. :p

The STE 08-25-2005 08:40 PM

yeah, well...

anywho, had to buy the book (Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way) to get in, so I did. He signed it and my Book of the Dead SE, notice the huge freakin safety pin in my ear, asked about college and what I was studying, and said to burn my DVD case and not to read it out loud. Didn't watch the movie cause I would've gotten home too late and I've got early classes tomorrow.

He seems taller in person

LOL

It always does, doesn´t it?;) :)

The STE 08-25-2005 08:55 PM

well, he was real nice, talked to every single person that went up there (far as I saw at least), I dunno...

Angra 08-25-2005 08:59 PM

Was there many people? How long time did you have to stand in line?

The STE 08-25-2005 10:04 PM

We got there around 6:30-7ish, got our autograph sometime after 8. It was really crowded, over 300 people (and we had ticket #312)

ItsAlive75 08-25-2005 11:28 PM

That's fuckin sweet dude, I would've loved to meet Bruce. The only celebrity I've ever met was Mike Ditka at a bar and he bought me a beer... but he was trashed, it was no fun talking to him.

Zombee 08-26-2005 07:28 AM

I partied with the actor who played Long Duk Dong in 16 candles at a snazzy karaoke bar in Grenwich, CT. He was rad and drank a lot of Cognac. I also know the drummer from the old band Steam. And a buddy of mine was an extra in the Candy Man movie shot in New Orleans called Farewell to the Flesh.
