Whats your favourite Fulci film?
mine has to be 'The Beyond'
|
Deep Red

a close second would have to be 'the new york ripper' and then 'zombie flesheaters'
|
the beyond and zombi
|
Probably The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
|
City of the Living Dead AKA "The Gates of Hell'
The Beyond New York Ripper FULCI LIVES!!! |
I´ve just bought these 2:
"The sweet house of horrors" & "Zombie flesh eaters 2". Are they any good? So far my favorite is "The beyond". Though i have to say that i´m not a big Fulci fan. |

Because i´m a true horror fan.;) But i draw the line when it comes to Argento. I simply can´t stand his B-movies. |

Have you seen Opera.? |

Nope!! |

Three words to describe it: Needles, Duct Tape, Eyes I recommend it to anyone who loves torture. |
I've seen City of the living dead,The beyond,House by the cemetary,Zombie and Zombi3, but My favorite Lucio Fulci film is Zombie or Zombie 2.It was the first Italian horror film I had ever seen. The eye gouging scene really made me cringe. ;)

.

Zombie for me
|
I've only seen Zombie. When I see the rest of his films, I'll let you know.
|
From the horror side of Lucio Fulci's creations:
the Beyond City of the Living Dead From the giallo side: Murder to the Tune of the Seven Black Notes (To me, one of his best giallo films.) Beatrice Cenci (Quite impressive. Lucio Fulci could almost have been ahead of his time with the way the film was edited.) |
i have to admit i'm not a big fan of Fulci. I keep buying the movies to see if my perception will change - but nothing so far ..
everything always looks so cheap - compared to Argento (who i do like) I prefer Soavi to Fulci too... |
Zombie was my favorite, I liked New York Ripper though...
|
The Beyond
The New York Ripper Don't Torture A Duckling |
Argento
The whole reason for purchasing dvds for me is to see horror films that I haven't yet. Not all of them are gems, but its worth it to know the bad as well as the good.
I saw "Demons" in 1985 in the theater. If I remember correctly, there is a scene where a full-size demon climbs out of the back of a chick. It was a pretty cool effect at the time (and original) Anyway, couldn't have been any worse than "I spit on your grave":) |

Fulci is almost as over-rated as Phantasm. I hate sitting through his slow paced, boring movies just to get to one or two scenes of mediocre gore. |
To be fair though, Zombi 3 has some of THE funniest dubbing I've ever heard. The scene where the soldiers are following the bus full of girls is priceless.

I'm not a big Fulci fan either and I have tried to give the films a fair shake, watched a couple several times. But I finally gave up. I am however a huge Argento fan. |
Not really a big fan of his as I am of Argento but he definately has some good ones, I'd say my favs are..
Zombie 2/Lizard in a woman's skin |
Who the hell is Fulci?
I KID, I KID ;):D |

muahahahah. Well, this time...you might be right...I didn't contribute to the thread... :( Hmm....my favorite Fulci film was "GIGLI" ;) |
Quote:
I actually never saw it...I just know that Fulci made it ;) bwahahahah. |
Actually I think Gigle was a Uwe Boll picture.:D
