Film about a tree for a son
 

Does anyone know about or seen a film about a family who have an evil tree for a son, it keeps killing all the social workers that come round so the father ties him up and puts him in a chest in the basement,
So the daughter or a random girl tries to save it and then it escapes and ends up eating the neighbours and stuff.

It had english subtitles when i seen it but i don't know what country its from, but its not chinese or japanese, european i think but im not sure!

Please if anyone knows what im on about help me! Its annoying me how i can't remember what it is!

LOL well I have seen it a couple of times and there can't be that many films about an man eating root baby ... it's even been on TV over here in the UK

It's a really good film if you can handle weird foreign subtitled stuff...

Well it’s not exactly a horror I think it's based on a dark fairytale, but the root baby does eat people. I would say it's more surreal with horror elements ... The IMDB is good for general info, but you have to remember it's made up of lots of peoples opinions so its not always that accurate. Really you would have to see it for yourself to decide it’s genre as it’s a pretty “different” film.

It has to be. It´s a Czech movie.

I´ll give it a shot if i should ever stumble upon it. Cheap of course.
