Do ghosts exist?
 

One of the newbs made a few threads whoring her website of "ghosts" caught on film. All of the 'ghosts' in her link were totally bogus, but it got me thinking...

I know, for a fact, that I don't believe in ghosts. I simply don't think they exist and until I have an intimate encounter with one, I probably never will. But I'm curious to see what other people think and more specifically to see if the majority of people on here do or do not believe in ghosts.

I've seen and heard things but that could simply be my mind playing tricks on me.

I've also gotten that feel that someone else is in the room that feeling that you get when someone is starring at you and I was absolutely possitive no one else was home but I've never had a convincing enough encounter for me to say I'm 100% sure.

So I guess my answer would be maybe.

I intentionally left that answer off because I wanted to force people to decide yes or no. If maybe was an option I bet that it would easily garner the most votes and what does that tell me? Nothing. :p

Okay...I'm sorry. I'll stop. "Intimate encounter" just sounds like a phone sex line, when in fact it's a very good way of putting someone's ghostly experience. I just wanted to be silly.

I do, however, have to pose this question: For all of you "naysayers:" Do you think you'd be frightened if you did happen to experience some sort of haunting?

No...I'd be intrigued...I'm a very analytical person by nature...I have to know how and why things are...I'd have to get close to it...See if I could touch it...Try to communicate with it...

BR pretty much summed me up too. If I heard a 'haunting' my natural skepticism would make me want to figure out what exactly caused the sound I heard, because my own common logic dictates that it would not be a ghost. I wouldn't be afraid.

I don't think really believe in them because I don't have to. They are definitely not meant to be seen often if I've never seen one in 25 years of existance.

BUT, close sane relatives swear they've seen the ghost of their husband, mother, etc. I feel bad not believing them because I'm sure they wouldn't lie to me and people around.

I believe they exist, yet I am a permanent sceptic when it comes to ghost photos/video. Unless the video isnt shaky and obscure, and can be proven genuine beyond doubt, I wont believe it. I do think ghosts exist however, just that these people making ghost videos are out for a cheap buck.

i think something is real, i just dont know if they are ghosts, demons, angels, or aliens. but whatever they are, i believe in them. i have a sister who, no matter where she lives, has unusual stuff going on in her house. i have had encounters in three different houses that she lived in.
