Favorite horror anthology?
What is your favorite horror anthology? For me it's a tie between Creepshow and Asylum (1972).
|
Definatly Creepshow
|
I guess I'll say Creepshow since it's one of the only two I can think of with the other being that piece of crap Tales from the Hood which I thought was funny but overall it sucked.
|
here are some:
Cat's Eye Creepshow Creepshow 2 Dead of Night Necronomicon: Book of the Dead Night Gallery Tales from the Crypt Tales from the Darkside: The Movie Tales from the Hood Twilight Zone: The Movie I liked Creepshow the best. I never saw Dead of Night but thats suppose to be really good. |
Creepshow, definately.
|
Creepshow AND Creepshow 2
But, I really liked Cat's Eye and Amazing Stories, too |
Definitely not the two I've worked on the last 2 years LOL. Hopefully the final installment of the trilogy will go smoother (especially since I'm shooting one of the shorts). On the plus side, I'll have total creative control on it and work with some lovely models :D

A good runner up for me would have to be Tales of Terror, a nice little collection of 3 Poe stoies, all staring Vincent Price.

Asylum (1972) ... if you grew up in the UK this movie is etched on your brain ... :D
|
Yes ! 'Trilogy of Terror' scared the hell out of me as a kid. I want to get for my kids now. Of course I want to have the replica Zuni Warrior Doll stashed behind couch before we watch it :D

I liked "Trilogy of Terror" the most, because of Karen Black (I like weird girls), and the Ya-Ya Doll. Ya ya ya ya ya ya ya ya!!!!! He was a weak little bastard.
Did anyone ever see that weird movie "Attack of the Beast Creatures" that takes place on an island that's crawling with dozens of these little red doll people like the Ya-Ya Doll? It's really funny. When the puppets are attacking in force, they have people throwing the dolls at the actors from out of frame, they look like red devil beanie babies. And there is a scene with a bunch of these things praying to a statue of their god, which is much bigger than they are, but it's only about three feet tall. The characters stumble on this ritual, and watch it from behind some bushes, mouths agape. Must be seen to be believed. |
