One of mine has to be Batman Begins. 2/5 terrible movie. And I thought it was suppose to be so great.

you're shocked by this but you didn't like Batman Begins

AUSTIN316426808 06-26-2005 10:29 PM

Secret Window- There's a handful of actors that I get high hopes for just because they're in the movie, Johnny Depp happens to be one of those actors and don't get me wrong it wasn't Depp's fault it was just shitty overall. I think he gave the best possible performance he could but sometimes even a great actor can't pull a film from hell.

House of the Dead- do I really have to explain

No, it was shittier than i expected it to be!

Deposable 06-26-2005 10:54 PM

Batman Begins is the best batman, easily.

And anyone that tells me land of the dead is bad. I don't ever want too read they're dumb opinions about anyother movie again

Marroe 06-26-2005 11:17 PM

Batman begins was badass...

I was let down by The Grudge. I had a friend who I assumed had good taste in movies hype it up to me, told me how "freaky" it was....Blech.

Elvis_Christ 06-26-2005 11:17 PM

I wonder when LOTD is comming out over here I've been looking foward to it for ages. I'm pretty sure its gonna be in my top films of the year list.

urgeok 06-27-2005 02:39 AM

stargate ...

the ads made it look like it was going to be the movie i had hoped for all my life ... ended up being just a dumb sand opera.

I agree 100%. I walked out of the theater saying "Belching dead women are kinda scary, i guess."

I actually liked secret window, but i think that was because a lot of people here panne dit so i expected shit, and ended u0p being pleasantly surprised.

The_Return 06-27-2005 05:22 AM

The Exorcist

Read the book, loved it. Heared all the amazing praise from here and almost everywhere else. When I finally did see it...it was, um...decent. HUGE letdown.

Shade 06-27-2005 05:50 AM

Boogyman. The movie actually let me down WHILE I was watching it. It built up to where it was pretty good, Sam Raimi was directing, then the movie just kinda tripped and fell on its face...laid there crying for a while...then rolled the credits.

I actually liked LOTD. I mean it wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I still want to see Batman Begins. Returns has been my favorite thus far.

Haunted 06-27-2005 07:12 AM

The ExorcistII. Damnit, I realize that it can't be a wonderful as the first, but they could have tried.

alkytrio666 06-27-2005 07:17 AM

Urge, it's exactly as you told me. It really isn't such a bad movie, in fact I suppose it's pretty good. I just completely over-psyched myself, my dad had always ranted and raved about it, so 10 years of psyching, and the viewing just kind of let me down. However, it was good enough that I would most certainly try it again, and I did actaully enjoy Damien: Omen II. Onew thing I can say, though, it had one of the best endings of any movie. the way the kid looks into the camera... *shivers*

now that they hype has died down ...
watch it again.

not many horror movies today put the effort in a film like that one did ...

great actors, great locations and cinematography ...

its movies like that one that gave horror respect back in the day ....

You know what Urge? I'll rent it tonight. I really do need to give it another chance.

There's a trooper.:D Seriously, though...It's cool that you're giving The Omen another try. It's really good. There have been several movies that I've had to re-watch. Sometimes, the circumstances aren't quite right, and you need to give it another go.

Let us know what you think of the second time, okay?

Thanks for your warm words. :D

Definately will let you know how I feel about it. And I'm going to watch this one in my basement, door shut, lights off, all by myself so as not to let myself get distracted at all.

Boogeyman was horrible, I think I was expecting something along the King story, I was duped.

Dark City-my lady and I actually walked out of this at the theater, I watched it years later and I enjoyed it.

Maybe there were more pressing issues that had arisen at the time after all it was one of our first dates.

meetthecreeper 06-27-2005 09:22 AM

Sorry too lazy to edit my last post.

I was kind of disappointed in Ichi the Killer, I wanted to see more of what was going on and all I got was blood thrown on the wall and the aftermath of the situation.

Sorry not good enough, I was hoping for another Kill Bill scene with the Bride and the Crazy 88s.

I dont think it was the worst piece of crap ever like some are posting but after a 20 year wait I just expected more. The movie was too short. The acting for the most part was horrible. I just found it kind of pointless That being said I still look forward to a unrated dvd to see how different the unrated release will be from the theatrical.

woah, woah, woah, you're complaining because there wasn't ENOUGH gore in Ichi? Come on? That movie had some of the best violence ever. And might I add that the 'blood thrown on the wall' included a face.

http://nightmareongleimstreet.com/mo...y/detail19.jpg

Only blood splattering scene there was without you seeing all the carnage...and one of the best blood splattering scenes I've ever seen...

orangestar 06-27-2005 11:09 AM

The original DOTD let me down because it's an action movie. I wanted horror, and I wasnt expecting it all to be action like that.

Secret Window wasnt nearly as good as I expected, but it was still okay.

I totally agree, I guess I didn't think about it because I've tried so hard to erase it from my memory.

Haunted 06-27-2005 01:46 PM

No spoilers here, but I just got back from seeing Land of the Dead, and I would have to say that it was a major let down.

does that mean not as good as you hoped or was it just bad?

Haunted 06-27-2005 03:48 PM

It was bad. I was disapointed. I would think that Romero would do a better job. I don't want to get too detailed because I don't want to give any away.

I am going to watch it again, I was kind of tired when I watched it the first time.

Maybe thats why I missed something, there was plenty of gore I guess I didnt feel like using my imagination for that one scene.

And I must of missed the face part, that would have made me laugh out loud.

ItsAlive75 06-27-2005 05:33 PM

I was let down by The Ring 2...

I should've known by the "deer" scene in the preview.

Funniest gory horror movie ever. And with Tadanobu Asano. Oh, pretty, pretty, Tadanobu Asano.

LOTD wasn't that bad. It met my expectations which weren't sky high to begin with. Not as good as the DOTD remake but worth the time none the less.

alkytrio666 06-27-2005 08:32 PM

Well I watched The Omen again, and I certainly do appreciate and like it more than before...maybe it was 'cause I watched it last time at about 4 in the morning with 3 friends...kind of distracting. But I do think it's much better than I thought it was, if that made any sense at all.
