I stumbled over this and thought it was kinda cool:
http://www.chud.com/news/mar04/mar22underdog1.php3

i dont necesarrily agree with all o fthem, but it is still a cool article. Nice and nostalgic :)

Elvis_Christ 06-17-2005 04:33 AM

Cool to see Living In Oblivian in there.

newb 06-17-2005 04:41 AM

i have it on laser - i'll add it to your pile ..

Vodstok 06-17-2005 04:50 AM

This article reminded me of quite a few movies that i have wanted to see. I was abkle to talk my wife into putting Equalibrium on our Netflix list :)

urgeok 06-17-2005 04:52 AM

with very few exceptions (contact - and mouth of madness)
it looks like a list of my favorite films ..

Time after Time is one of my all time faves - no one knows that film...

I do, i was pleasantly surprised.

"HG Wells uses his own time machine to try and catch Jack the Rippetr, who was his freind". No one makes things with interesting concepts anymore.

definately one of the hits in David Warner's hit-or-miss career.

and a suprisingly sensitive performance by malcolm mcdowell ...

newb 06-17-2005 05:14 AM

I liked that one as well.Always was a fan of time travel movies.

Vodstok 06-17-2005 05:18 AM

I like that it didnt pull the same "Paradox" shit that EVERY time travel movie has to incorporate...

I love the Terminator movies (never have/will see 3....), but even they had to play around with that.....

big mistake - see #3

it is a very good movie - no embarrasment to the series..

AUSTIN316426808 06-17-2005 05:30 AM

Frequency? get the fuck outta here.

I heavily agree with Equilibrium and A Simple Plan

didn't read the whole list just the first page, I'll look over the rest later but I gotta run.

Vodstok 06-17-2005 05:37 AM

It's a pretty good list.

Good luck with the appointment Austin...

newb 06-17-2005 05:58 AM

Kinda surprised "Howard the Duck" is missing from that list.C'mon people......Howard needs the love....am i the only person here who liked that movie?

urgeok 06-17-2005 06:03 AM

you're the only one on the planet ...

i paid to see that damn thing because i used to read the comics ..

i remember faintly that it had a couple of laughs ... and its weird to see tim robbins in such an awful performance

Vodstok 06-17-2005 06:05 AM

I remember my grandmother thought because i was a huge Aliens fan that i would like this... Because Jeffery Jones turns into a monster at the end. I enjoyed it, and made sure my grandma didnt know i wasnt too impressed, but...

jeffery jones was a monster in real life too

The Mothman 06-17-2005 06:07 AM

Well, I agreee with the following:

13. Deep Rising (C'mon, it was a fun film)

40. Die Hard 2: Die Harder (Although it wasnt what the original was, it was still fun.

87. Candyman (Not much to say about it, but it was enjoyable)

92. gremlins 2 ( i thought it was really funny)

And I disagree with the following:

30: Alien 3

the others I havnt seen or just dont want to comment on.

newb 06-17-2005 06:07 AM

But it had Lea Thompson in it.....before she hit the wall.

Vodstok 06-17-2005 06:17 AM

Wasnt howard the duck the wall?

2 points i must disagree with you on Mothman.

Die HArd 2 was shit (As is almost anything from Renny Harland, The Long Kiss Goodnight excluded)

Alien 3 was a great, way underappreciated movie. David Fincher rocks. Great cast, great acting, a bit muddled in parts, but overall, a much better addition to the series than "Ressurection"

Joss Whedon should be forced to wear cicadas in his shorts for a year.

hey, anything with loads of pointless action is at the top of my list.

The STE 06-17-2005 10:29 AM

2 grievances:
1) The Peacemaker wasn't Clooney's first star vehicle, From Dusk Till Dawn was.
2) Billy Crudup's character in Jesus' Son was named Fuck Head not Fuck Face

Also, A Life Less Ordinary sucked

from what I'd heard, the final version of Ressurection was very different from what it originally was in the script

besides, Serenity should more than make up for it

AUSTIN316426808 06-17-2005 10:47 AM

I agree with most of 'em but the ones I don't agree with I really don't fucking agree with, these are the ones that I really agree with to go with the two already posted earlier.

No Escape
The Cable Guy
Ed Wood
In The Line of Fire
Rounders
Casino
A Perfect World
Falling Down

MoonLit Meadow 06-17-2005 11:18 AM

Awww.....Fright Night! ;) My fav horror movie. I just never tire of it.

Also glad to see...
Casino
The Cable Guy
Contact
Candyman
The Ref

:)

jenna26 06-17-2005 11:38 AM

Ones I most definitely agree with:

The Devil's Backbone
Time After Time (anyone who hasn't seen this movie, please do)
Brotherhood of the Wolf
Equilibrium
The Ref (hilarious)
Long Kiss Goodnight (Come on, Samuel L. Jackson was great :p)
Cop Land
King Of New York
Rounders
ED WOOD!!!!!! (;))
Beautiful Girls (yes, I liked it.....quite a lot actually)
Jesus' Son
Candyman
Gods and Monsters
Falling Down

Ones I most definitely do not agree with:

No Escape
Alien 3
The Cable Guy
Universal Soldier

The rest I haven't seen, or I am kind of neutral on for the most part. :D

AUSTIN316426808 06-17-2005 11:45 AM

I wouldn't mind seeing a top 25 actors who don't get enough love list with Billy Bob Thorton and Philip Seymour Hoffman at the top of the list.

Don't foget Billy Crudup. Until recently I'd say Christian Bale, but Batman fixed that
