i think the movie will be the best of them all.

Khafka 08-27-2004 05:25 AM

I'm a big George Romero fan I enjoy all of his movies!
I'm really looking forward to see it, and I'm anxious to
see how it evaluates.. it's very different from the three
first dead movies - since it's not as traditional as
them(I mean, they're not shooting the movie in
Pittsburgh, Tom Savini wont do the fx and so on...)

I'm not sure that it's going to be as good as Dawn but
it will overrun both Night and Day :)

toolboxkiller 08-27-2004 04:20 PM

yeah i agree, this movie really is going to a great movie, especially since is made by legendary director Goerge Romero

IDrinkYourBlood 08-31-2004 05:32 PM

I just hope this movie doesnt become botched by the film company like what happend with DAY. and im a little sceptic of the whole thing.

MrShape 09-04-2004 06:35 PM

I've been waiting for this for a while. I met George at a Fango con years ago and he seemed pretty enthusiastic about it. Hopefully they won't fuck around with it too much. I thought it should be called "Dusk Of The Dead", but what do I know?

Hate_Breeder 09-04-2004 06:58 PM

I hope they dont use CGI for everything

KRUGERKID13 09-04-2004 10:18 PM

nope. savini no longer does effects for movies. KNB (kill bill v1&2) will be doing the effects. i was lucky enough to snag a photo of a zombie test makeup done by greg nicotero for the film. its pretty sweet, soon as i get a scanner ill post it up.

as for there being no cgi? i wouldnt get your hopes up, id say theres a pretty good chance that itll use cg the same way the dawn remake did.

Well that just took down my confidence on the film

romero said himself the only CGI effects he will use is a bridge collapse and tom savini is supposed to co star with dennis hopper

nightbreed 09-05-2004 07:23 PM

last i talked to tom he had mentioned a brief cameo as a zombie. but perhaps that has since changed.

HauteTension676,

How dare you mispell Romero, that's just sad.

CursedRatMonkey 10-06-2004 04:23 AM

Land of the dead fun!

But I don't get something.
They said they will bring back the savini zombie.
But not Bub.But I am not saying BRING BACK BUB!
I am saying that in Day, didn't the doctor say something like the zombies with early stages of Decomposition have 10-15 years before severe decay cripples them?
Bub was founded around 85, it has been 14 years for Bub.
The Savini zombie is the biker guy from DAWN that died and became one (Or so they say).
OKAY, that was in 78-79.
The savini zombie would have around 25 years of decay.
OKay, that is going to be hard to pull off.

Hellbound 10-06-2004 05:27 AM

As long as there aren't any of these new "olympiad zombies" which seem to enjoy increased physical fitness and stamina once returned from the dead, as in the evil remake of Dawn, *spits*

systemshock 10-06-2004 06:52 AM

in one of the interviews i read about it he said he hates when they make zombies run and stuff so i'm sure he will stay with the his original zombie style

Hellbound 10-06-2004 09:15 AM

I have been told this as well. It's good to know that he's not selling out on the series just to sell tickets to all these new horror fans who've cropped up lately.

but now a days who fucking knows but i hope and think he wont. im really excited about this movie

CursedRatMonkey 10-11-2004 07:41 PM

CGI doesn't suck, it is the OVER USE of CGI, I think it should only be meant for touch-up's and such.

And they are making a joke out of the Rigor Mortis zombies.
I hope Ramero makes people shit their pants with the rigor mortis zombies.

THAT WILL SHOW THEM!

Hellbound 10-12-2004 06:06 AM

I think Peter Jackson has really shown how effective the use of CGI can be when it's done properly and not shoved down your throat the way George Lucas does it.

CursedRatMonkey 10-12-2004 06:13 AM

Lol, yeah.

And he has also shown how good of a film directer he really is.

phantomstranger 11-07-2004 12:56 PM

I'm really looking forward to this film, I met Mr Romero a couple of years ago and he seemed to be a great guy, really loves his fans. But do you think he will stay with his classic "slow moving" zombies or go with the new fast paced 28 Days Later kind? Either way its going to be a great movie.
On a side note...any Romero fans who need a "living Dead"fix may want to check out a new comic book called "Toe Tags" it's written by Romero and set in his zombie ruled world. It's published by DC and has some great covers by Bernie Wrightson.

CursedRatMonkey 11-08-2004 05:12 AM

Romero already said he is sticking to his original zombie look.
which is the Rigor Mortis slow ones.

Cheeba V2.0 11-08-2004 05:45 AM

Actually, from what I've read over at either UHM or Bloody Disgusting...there's going to be a few different types of the undead, some semi-sentient that have control/infuence over the slow "regular" zombies in the film...
and then there's going to be something we "haven't seen before".
Either way, I think it's safe to say that it'll be worth the wait.

CursedRatMonkey 11-08-2004 06:33 AM

cool.

urgeok 11-08-2004 07:50 AM
