So Im sitting here, rolling up a cigerette thinking about how long I've actually been out of work. Im going on a good five months which is like a record or something. Five months w/o an income, granted I have no bills because I know how to work it, I still think that's pretty good. You get really creative when you're broke. Gas is about the only thing that I get stuck on from time to time, but if someone needs a ride I can usually swing a few bucks for the trouble.

Do you kids ever go broke or with out a job? What are some of the things you do for cash? Are you down with the hustle?

I can play cards and usually come out ahead, or go to the bar and hit up a pool table or two, but with pool you lose sometimes, cards you can always fold. I think Im rambling, discuss or else let this thread fall to the depths of this site.

Well, I don't want your threads to fall into the abyss, so I'll help out.

When I run low on cash I usually call my folks and ask for funds. They usually help out. Sometimes when I'm desperate I'll play Texas Hold em' with my buddies cuz they suck at cards and they're easy to read, but my folks are mostly the main source.

I don't gamble often, I love money too much.

I cut grass, and get paid for that

my parents pay my credit card.

I like for things to be free. I try to work "tha man" hince no bills. My parents make too much money to get any kind of goverment help. Ive considerd joining some sort of military branch.... butt...eh, seems too painful.

no. women dont get any respect in the military. especially not ones with unibraus.

They get a lot more respect than you think nowadays. My friend went to Iraq, and he said there was a ton of women he served with there. We just see the clips on CBS where women get hazed by the guys, so we all think there's some prejudice going on.

well, 'the man' probaby doesn't really want women in the military so what we see in the media is like a way to discourage women frow signing up. Or not, either way I don't think its the orginization for me. I considerd nursing because it's easier to get money for, but I don't think I could do that job. Im not really mature enough or selfless. I have no idea at all what to do with my life. There's a lot of things I've done and more that I want to do and Im trying to consider the right place for me that can offer all the things I feel I need to have a happy life.

anyway. barbra if i wasnt doing the whole cop thing id do nursing. from there iw ould probably do interior design. well, im more of a civil service type of person really. but yeh, all those commercial about 'be all that you can be' trying to totally GLAMORIZE the whole fuckin thing. psh......

a lot of these guys go in, learn some wack ass craft eg NUKES, go to iraq, are out in 5 year and guess what. got NOTHIN

me dad's a vet, he got screwed. he hasn't gotten any benefits. its a travisty really

well if your a freelancer like myself and your "whales" are not coming through you(gulp)accept commissions.but it's money so you do it......you gotta eat.

I have not spent a single day without work since i graduated high-school (back in 94).

However, my ex room mate was unemployed twice for 6 months at a time during the 2 and a half years we lived together. He pawned shit and begged off of his parents for the most part. he also ended up being $2300 in debt to me by the time i met Bree and moved out.

He paid me a whopping $400 back....


Thats okay.. We accidentally packed his silverstone wok, and he wont be getting it back :P

do something you like to do... i'm only 16 and i have my own small business... computer repair... believe me, i pull in a helluva lot of cash... so why don't you do something like that? you like horror movies right; so why don't you apply at a newspaper or something? that way you can do what you want and get paid for it... it's a longshot but believe you me, it's a helluva lot better than not being sure if you can afford gas the next day :(

wait... i think i forgot something lol, what i meant by applying to a newspaper was to wite reviews of movies, y'know like a review column or sumthin... yeah, sorry 'bout that lol... just wanted to clarify things....
