Last days...still a change to get some of the free DVD's on our site
Hi,
Last year I set up a new site with a friend of mine. Although mainly focused on horror, cult, gore & campy stuff, we also go beyond the bounderies and dare to publish "common" reviews on "common" movies /tv shows This thing has grown over the past year with help from others + support of many distributors. To return the favour, we give away free DVD's every now & then so why not check us out ? We are located in Belgium but our site is completly in english ! www.razorreel.be Keep yours eyes peeled for next month ! Cause we will give away some signed pictures of Dario Argento |
PLease dont be too offended by the folks who will inevitably blast you from this site because they dont take kindly to strangers pimping their stuff and then leaving, never to return.

keep ya fuckin free shit... my shelves are rammed.

Yeah yeah great fun guys ! I love it.
sure I'm an Argento fan & sure I met him on march the 19th in Brussels. Yeah he signed my book + he signed our pictures also for the site. Oh before I forget I have proof of this. But I don't think anyone is interested here so I go find some movie lovers some where else... Anyway I have a great time meeting different people, being invited on screenings, going to Fantastic Film festivals and above all see tons of movies ! See you Ps: I'm not offended but I feel sorry. I thought this was a good place to find like minded people. Seems I'm mistaken. |

and another thing, you didn't have the intentions of meeting like minded people.... wtf is with the "Last days...still a change to get some of the free DVD's on our site" pimpage...
....thats bollocks, just like all the other one post spammers inflicting their wares upon us... go and spam elsewhere. |
if nothing else .. they gave The Godsend - one of the worst movies ever .... a really good review.
so much for 'like minds' ... Godsend The newest Robert De Niro thriller, Godsend is a beautiful piece that sets you thinking about the ethical issue of cloning. For ages mankind has searched for the impossible. In the Dark Ages alchemists were looking for a formula to make gold and isn't it every scientists dream to find a solution to overcome death… Evolution in science has created new techniques and new results. What if... we could defeat death by cloning our beloved ones? Godsend will not give any answers, it's foremost an entertaining film, but in the meantime it gives us something to think about, and that’s what I like in movies. When a young couple loose their only son, the 8-year-old Adam, doctor Richard Wells contacts them. He promises them a chance to get Adam back, a chance of bringing him back to life. Of course this isn’t without its dangers and of course its highly illegal. The dilemma is very hard for the heartbroken parents, but the idea of having Adam back is immensely appealing. They finally give in and agree with the enigmatic doctor. Using a DNA sample, doctor Richard Wells and his crew clone genetic material and fertilize Jessie (the mother). Adam is re-born and he acts, sleeps, walks like Adam, but deep inside a mystery is buried. When Adam turns eight (again) he starts having delusions and a serious sleep disorder make his parents really anxious. It even leads to a seizure... Is it really an ordinary seizure? Is doctor Wells telling the truth or is something peculiar going on. But most of all who is that strange kid with behaviour disturbances that Adam is turning into? Bit by bit we learn the dreadful truth. Is Adam the son of the Devil or is he indeed a gift from God? Godsend is a very compelling supernatural thriller with high-class actors Robert DeNiro (who is that guy, seems he's known for his great method acting), lovely (X-Men, Punisher, Rollerball) and Greg Kinnear (Dark Matter, What Planet are you from, We were soldiers). The complete cast puts down a never dull and very believable movie in the good old tradition of The Omen, The boys from Brazil and Rosemary’s Baby. Also included on the DVD are some good extra’s; a behind the scenes feature and interviews with the cast & crew to name but a few. This DVD will be out on 24/05/2005 by DFW and can be bought in every good & self respecting DVD shop! Patje, great review... I just want to add some extra info on this quite enjoyable film. I liked the movie, but wasn't blown away by it. The reference films at the end of your review haven't been topped. On my American DVD there were some alternative endings, endings that by my norms could have made the film better. Seems like the American test public, by which films are quoted and re-cut, always go for the 'happy ending' / 'easy to swallow' choice. One of the much darker endings added to the DVD extra's, made much more sense to me. Something I also had with the Directors' cut of The Butterfly Effect. This is why DVD's have stolen my heart, the extra's give you a whole new experience to movie watching, giving you the chance to make your own choices or helping you understand or appreciate just that tad bit more... --BAL-- |
