Villain picked for Batman Begins sequel

http://www.empireonline.co.uk/site/n...?news_id=16779

I see they're blowing their Joker wad pretty quick. So who should play him this time? I say Nick Stahl

Stahl played a decent enough nasty guy in Sin City, but I don't think he'd be the right guy for the part.

Given that they'll probably be going for a darker tone for these movies, I think he could do a good enough job. If not him, then who? Crispin Glover, maybe?

Prelude95Si 05-10-2005 04:30 PM

So does this mean that their going to ignor the original 4 Batman movies and start a new series?

we can only hope....

the being said, i think that seann william scott could be a good joker, if he takes the role seriously enough.

he's too laid back for the joker .. to ... weird.. actually.

he would make an excellent villian though.

I loved him in the charlies angels movies ... he ... and drew barrymore licking the steering wheel of the car in part 2 were the only 2 reasons to see those films.

They've said over and over that they're ignoring the original 4 movies

Ya know...most people would probably think that this would be an unconvential choice for The Joker...but I agree with you 100%. I think Sean William Scott would make an awesome Joker. Plus it may help move his stereotyped career into a different level.

sean william scott? hahahahah! i really dont think he would make a good one.......plus he only plays in shitty teen movies like American Pie.

urgeok 05-11-2005 05:47 AM

The Rundown
Bulletproof Monk
Evolution
Final Destination

AUSTIN316426808 05-11-2005 09:45 AM

I think Jim Carrey would've been a good choice but he was the riddler so that isn't going to happen. He's a great comedic actor and he proved in The Majestic and Eternal Sunshine that he's also a damn good dramatic actor so I think he would've been perfect.

Angra 05-11-2005 10:25 AM

How about Willem Dafoe?

He did great in spiderman and he can make one hell of a psycho villain face.

kung-fu-jesus 05-11-2005 01:25 PM

it dons't matter what you think they picked the Scarecrow and he is being played by Cillian Murphy the guy who played jim in 28 days later.

The STE 05-11-2005 07:59 PM

nonono, this isn't for Batman Begins, it's for the next Batman movie.

If not Nick Stahl, what about Jason Lee?

slasherman 05-11-2005 08:34 PM

what about Johnny Depp....or maybe

Tom McCamus

Angra 05-11-2005 09:52 PM

Jason Lee and Johnny Deep are both great suggestions.

knife_fight 05-11-2005 11:21 PM

I'd like to see Crispin Glover play the Mad Hatter

ChEEbA 05-12-2005 01:59 AM

Gary Oldman for joker?
Don't think there's all that many characters he COULDN'T make work..the guys like the silly putty of actors.

Timothy Olyphant, if you wanna talk crazy lookin'...he could be another riddler.

a possible few(my 2 cents)

clancy brown
clive owen
jude law?
rupert everett
vincent d'onofrio
steve busciemi(admit it he'd look great in that makeup)
eric idle
matt fewer

i'd go on but i doubt anyone's reading this anyway.

Dante'sInferno 05-12-2005 11:27 PM

how could they get any darker? I thought the firat 2 batmans were great. micheal keaton was a great bruse wayne. the rest were a joke, but I wish this one would have been diffrent in th esence of maybe a 1800's version of batman. Maybe nothing to do with the joker at all, an entirely diffrent story would be nice. I am not looking forward to this movie, I'll catch it on HBO in a year or so.
