U would sacrifice your life for...
^^^ as above. most would say family, but how about beliefs??? for liberty perhaps (in general? or certain types like religoin, speech, government... etc).
how about family.... is there a certain order? as in, where does it draw the line, kids, hubby,.. inlaws??? ^_^ dont even lie, as in, id imagine you wouldnt die for your grandfather (anyway, im not sure he'd LET that happen anyway. on account hes so old and such). for your country maybe? would you make these sacrifices regardless.. or would you take in totality of circumstances?? (as in, situationally vs. more along the lines of blind faith) OR... you WOULDNT sacrifice your life for anything at all? As for me... i'd do it just for about anyone. that why i wanna be a cop. in the line of duty is exactly the way i want to go, but not some stupid shit like i pulled over the wrong motherfucker and he decides to shoot me for no reason. i mean 9/11, hostage type shit. but yah, knowing my luck, im gonna die cuz i got hit by a drunk driver.... :( bastards. |
I would give my life for the smartest little girl on the planet, her name is Rain. She could have any organ that would fit, as much blood as she could drink, the very essence of my being if it would make her happy. I see noting but oppertunitys and joy in her life. I don't say this about many kids, but if there is one who has potential to change the world, its this little girl. Ive never met anyone like her ever and she's 2. Freakin' brillant!

i think like that to some extent but i've changed since my kid .. i would sacrifice myself for my kid and wife ... In the past i would have said anyone ... but i'd be thinking of my kid having a fatherless life ... i dunno, i'd probably still rush into a burning building to save someone i dont know because it wouldnt occur to me that i'd die anyway ... |
My kids...
I would say Dustin...But, my kids need me....When you have kids, there isn't anything you wouldn't do for them...They ARE your life... |

very true. but the way i see it, id hope my family and friends, children, whatever, realize i was doing the right thing
if my child wanted to become a police officer, firefighter... i'd let em. support em 100%.. very noble professions they are. |

I would give my life for my family and my pets. (Pets are part of the family, although some people don't consider them to be the same.) I just love my baby kitty. :D Also, I would help strangers if ever they needed it.

I would die for any child, I believe....no way could I stand by and let something terrible happen to a child that I could help in any way.
And there are many members of my family I wouldn't think twice about giving my life for if it came to that. I even have a cousin that I feel that way about. But a complete, adult stranger? I am not so sure that I have it in me to sacrifice myself like that. I admire those that do. But I am not sure what I would do in that situation. |
If I had kids that would be my choice. Anyone touches them they gotta deal with me.
I guess it goes for cheebs too. He is the only one close to me. So if anything were to happen to him I would follow him yknow. |

I would die for Freedom

I know myself and it would be the same way for me, the guilt would be too great. It would follow me the rest of my life if I didn't do absolutely everything I possibly could in that type of situation. |
It's good to know that not everyone in the world is selfish. Some people would just walk on by and never think about it again or just use it as a good story, like "I saw 27 people in a 10 car pile up. I had to take 27th street just to get around the mess. All the screaming was giving me a headache!" People these days.

what if i was ... lets say ... oh... to give him a pinch on the bum .. what would ya do then ? |
I would die for love. I mean TRUE love, not none of the false shit. If it took sacrificing myself to feel true and honest love for one minute before I died, then it would be well worth it to me because True love is so hard to find.
|
Chainsaw Guy, what'd be the point? You can't bask in freedom when you're dead. When you're dead you bask in death. Did you mean the freedom of others? If so, who?
Babygurl20, you're so right. I would sacrifice myself also, to feel love from that one person, even for a second. Only, true love would (almost) very likely give up their own life before they let you give up yours. However, either way someone is almost bound to live a life of unhappiness and grief. So what's the point? Would it not be easier to be alive and apart? Hellboy, you know it. |

I'd die for my family (of course), but I have one or two friends I'd die for.
|
I'd sacrifice my life for any family members that I'm close to(mom, dad, grandpa, and a few others), or maybe one of the other few decent people in the world. Probably no one else and not some random person that I didn't know, unless I was just so depressed at the time that I didn't care. I'd also sacrifice my life for my cat Sherman. Some people may think that's crazy but I love him and he's included in the "close family members" category. Not to mention his life is better than mine anyway...he gets to be lazy and sleep all day. :p

My would-be grandparents on my mother's side died when she was young, my grandmother on my father's side died a few years ago and my grandfather's had two heart attacks over the winter so I guess he doesn't have too much time left. I love my grandfather, but I would never sacrifice my life for him.
|
im not exactly sure there are too many grandparents that would LET anyone sacrifice for them
know what im sayin? my neighbor died a little over a year ago. she was i think 47 or so - brain aneurism. anyway, it was a very hard funeral, she died so suddenly and her father, ya know, an old man, was probably the most shaken out of everyone (friends, relatives, husband, 2 kids ages 22 and ... 11? somethin like that) |

as for the cat, the cats not gona give a damn whether or not you die. yeh, itll miss u for a few days, but they move on. people dont, not as easily anyway. |
Im wondering after 2,000+ years of life, people still don't understand thats its alright to die. Really its the only thing you can be certain of.

Sacrifice and risk are two different things, there are plenty of things I'd risk my life for such as trying to save someone's life, make a movie, have my knee back to 100% ect.
As far as just sacrificing my life I'd only do that for a child(ecspecially my neice),4 members of my family,my girlfriend and a CLOSE friend which I don't have. p.s. lmao@Gren, she said in-laws, now that's F'n funny. |
