Various people come here from various countrys, a few being pretty hard core about their beer. (the countrys I mean, Im stereo-typing) Personally I like beer, when I go to a bar I order a different kind every time I get a new drink. Right now, however, Im drinking the beast, aka milwaukee's best. Its cheap, I have 12 of them, lets talk beer.

I can't do that. When I'm drinking beer, it's usually either Kokanee, Sleeman Cream Ale or Sleeman honey brown lager. The more expensive beers I guess.

I've been into the malty beers as of late. A nice Long Trail Double Bag ale is delightful. Its got a nice kick as well with a 7.2% abv

lately my tops have been: any IPA, anything by Anchor Brewery, Yuengling light (trying to lay off the stout before I get a full blown beer gut). basically any bitter microbrew (I know Yuengling isn't a microbrewery).

OOh, the beast makes me pass out! But, it's hella fuckin cheap and does it's job. I personally prefer Michelob light to any beer

I only drink that at punk shows where the pitchers are cheap, that shit is too thick for me

its 50 cents a beer if you buy it in six packs around here. cheaper than ice house, the beast or even southpaw. Why do punks and hipsters drink the shit out of pabst?

I usually opt for Labatt Blue, Sam Adams, or Corona.

There is a brewery in Cooperstown, NY that makes a beer called Ommegang. That was my favorite at this past year's International Beer Festival in Providence, RI.

Im really not a fan of corona or heiniken. I like the heiniken dark, but I would really rather drink some pauly, even though I useually only have money for the beast

Most people I have asked this question to tell me that it's b/c Pabst is Union Made. However, my own conclusion is that it's purely for aesthetic reasons. They feel it compliments their "look," which could range from skinhead, working class, proletariat hero, to the "ironic white trash" look so popular among the older, Lucero-fan types.

drinking Victory's Golden Monkey "Triple Ale" as we speak....9.5%,oh yeah it's that good."arrogant bastard" also rocks.great lakes brewery's "holy moses"(belgin style white) and thirtsy dog's "siberian night" for those that want a fine imperial stout.anyone lookin for a good i.p.a. try victory's hop devil or troegs hop back.cheers!!

ahhh...a fellow beer drinker of fine taste.

Try something from the Bear Republic brewery if you want a nice I.P.A.
They hava a nice one called "Racer5" which is 7.0% abv or a "Hop Rod Rye" which is 7.5% abv.

If your looking for a real kick ass I.P.A. try something from Dog Fish Head.
They have a 60 min I.P.A. @ 6.0%
a 90 min @ 9.0%abv, and if you really want to be bold , a 120 min I.P.A . at a whopping 20.0% abv.

...thank you.i'm gonna make a bee line for the brew store and see about that Bear Republic i.p.a. as for dog fish i've tryed their chicory stout and nut brown ale.the 60 and 90 are on the "to do" list for sure!:D

as I mentioned above, I like IPAs, so I've tried most of them. The Dog Fish Head beers you mentioned are all great, although sometimes hard to find.

I for one prefer mexican beer over all else, followed by english, then american microbrew (i'll include Sam Adams in that group just because). I have a soft spot for Fosters. I like the tatse, but even if i didnt, you gotta love that big-ass blue can :D

thats the funny thing, microbrew is 90% of the time superior to the other stuff, but no one ever gets to taste it from regions beyond their own.

if the only american beer i had ever known of was budweiser and pbr, then i would say all american beer sucks.


I KNOW Fosters isnt the best Australia is putting out. Cheeba has called me a poor misguided soul many a time :D

I thought fosters was the australin beer made in canada..?
