Hmmmmm.....I am actually one the few people I know that enjoyed Attack of the Clones (Phantom Menace bugged me) so I am looking forward to it. But strictly as a DVD rental.

Of course, I hardly ever go out to see a movie anymore anyway.

i already have tickets to a midnight showing on the first day Thanks Fandango.com. But im gonna get in line at 9 A.M. also im dressing up as Darth Vader:D :cool:

I don't know about dressing up but I am stoked on seeing it. Does anybody like to discuss the plot of the movie?

The plot???

Well, lets see from what we know Anikin becomes Vader, duhhh!!!

From the trailer it looks like Darth Sidious is more powerful than he was in Return of the Jedi. Because he is able to throw the hover pods at Yoda in the Senate room and use a lightsaber which is really cool. I know that Anakin kills Darth Tyranous (Dukuoo) b/c in the novels I'm told that Tyranous is a flotting head. Also from the trailer its preety obvious that Anakin kills Tyranous b/c you see Anakin take a big slash at a red lightsaber and Sidous is siteing behind them.

Originaly after I saw AOTC, I thought that Boba Fett would kill Mace Wendu, but from the trailer it looks like Sidous is going to do that.

I think its awsome how from the trailer you can see that this movie is following everything we know from the original trilogy. Such as when Anakin is leading the stormtroopers to hunt down the Jedi just as Obi Wan said in "A New Hope."

I think that the very end of ROTS will lead right into A New Hope with the Runnabout (Leia's ship that Vader attacks at the begining), b/c even in the trailer you see the Runabout in a quick frame.

Most of all I'm looking forward to General Grevies ( for those who didn't watch Clone Wars on CN,a droid who can use multiple lightsabers). I think he will be the new Darth Maul.

Lastly, there are a few who liked the first two prequals, I'm one of them but I don't think that they were worthy sequals to the original Star Wars trilogy, I mean everyone knowns that the only reason these two prequals did as well as they did was b/c they had the Star Wars name on them, if they didn't, then they would have boomed. The same goes for ROTS b/c everyone just wants to see Anakin become Vader, its that simple.

Sidious beats the fuck outta yoda ( to depressing to see in my book).

Just picked-up the sound track to ROTS and its not very Star Warsish as far as the sound of the music. Its very dark and grim sounding which is a reflection of the tone of this film. I almost think that this film will really stand-out from the rest of the series, not only b/c its the first and only Star Wars to recieve a PG-13 rating, but also b/c of the overall fell of the movie.
The DVD that came with the soundtrack is preety awsome, has some good clips from ROTS.

Can't wait for this movie!!!

I still wish they would have threw some hans solo and jaba in there but it maybe to eary for that story.

Cant wait!

i dont think it will lead right in to a new hope because there is talk of a 3 part mini series coning out in a year or two
i hope its good cause the last two werent all that great

I think you right because that would make more sense than a direct lead into IV.

Now I have a really nerdy question for anyone. Sense Anakin knew that Owen Lars was his half brother, and he knew that he was on Tatooine, why didn't Vader ever look for Luke there?
Only thing I can figure is if you go by the DVD version, Vader was surprised to find-out that he had a son when the Emperior was talking to him on the Star Destroyer, which means that Vader never knew he had a son. But in the original version Vader is hell bent on finding Luke so it was as though Vader knew that Luke was his son which I think makes more sense.

vader knew about his son the whole time, he just didn't know that lea was is daughter.

If thats true then why didn't Vader ever go to tatooine to get Luke. I mean Anakin must have known that Pademe was pregnat, you just miss something like that especially on a hot girl like her.

It's definitely on my must-see list...infact, it's been there was months.
From the trailer i've seen, it looks brillant, and even if it turns out to be crap - i'm almost positive that won't happen - it'll have on feature that redems it: Anikian becoming Darth Vader.
