Most Overrated TV Show
 

I think The Shield is highly overrated. I watched it, and personally I hated it. I cant imagine why so many people seem to claim that they like it.

Yes! The Sheild is aweful.
And I don't like CSI.

But Law & Order mmmm.

Like another shitty video on MTV, anything they are trying to force down our throats to make us believe we like it is typically garbage. The only primetime shows I watch are The Simpsons, the daily news, and I must admit that I have been absolutely hooked on Survivor since the first season. Other than those few shows though, (and a few other late night ones like South Park and Daily Show) I dont really like anything on TV.

Freddy - i like trigun too! it didnt appeal to me at first, but once u really sit down and watch it u can realy appreciate it. anyway, i didnt like it cuz i generally dont like the oldish type of anime style - i like newer type shit, like 'cowboy bebop' and ESPECIALLY the peter chung shit. Also, its fuckin western, i HATE western! i know bebop is too, but bebop is futuristic so its cool, that and everyone is sexy

but look at trigun. fuckin millie? LOL! i may be going to comiccon in july and im seroiusly thinking of dressing up as her!

anyway. plotwise/story/morally the show is really genius!

You dont like Westerns? How sad. I love Westerns. Personal favorite of mine is anything that stars Clint Eastwood. Gunsmoke, now there was a good series. But once it came in color, it wasn't as good. Festus just lost his humor ways in the color one. He wasn’t the same. And also the fact that Matt always wore a pink shirt...

Anyway, I liked the old western ways that were in Trigun. Loved it, really. Even though I believe it, like most animation these days, was cheap. Not much blinking, just more like a still image with a moving mouth. It wasn't as bad as some anime I've watched. I watched that Pokemon shit once (just to what it was like, basically) and that had to be one of the worst animes ever. The animation in it was so pour I could have puked. And one quote said in was just stupid. A space craft crashed down from the sky. Now Ash and his friends don't have clue what it was, and he said "hey man you think it could be a UFO?"
I mean, UFO means Unidentified Flying Object. As in, you don't know what it is. If you don't know what it is you dont say "you think it could be a UFO?" I hate how every tends to think of Aliens when the mentioning of a UFO. I think they should call a alien space ship a ASC. Alien Space Craft. It would be so much simpler….

TV sucks.

I forgot to mention that when HBO had Oz and The Sopranos on, I used to watch those 2 shows every week too. Oz is quite possibly the most badass show ever made.

the day after i sprained my ankle i ended up watching movies in bed ... at the end of one movie i ended up watching a movie on tv because i was too tired to pop in another DVD.

so i'm watching this movie and every 10 minutes there's 5 minutes worth of commercials .. always the same commercials over and over again..

how the hell can you guys that watch tv stand it ???

the most over rated tv show is easily "Friends" that show sucks.

Friends, the real world, road rules, survivor, the apprentice.

oh and whatever show the west coast choppers gguys do. the really don't customize much themselves. Indian Larry (RIP), now that guy customized bikes. i think biker build off is the best custom bike show on tv.

I'm not a big tv fan. I think that the show with Paris Hilton and that other twat should be booted off the air. In fact I think Paris Hilton and that other twat should be booted off of the planet.

I like that show, "House." I don't know if anyone else has seen it, but it's probably the best medical based show on the air. Never did like "ER."

If you ever watched a full season, you'd realize that the game they are playing is easily the most sadistic thing on TV. They force 16-20 people to basically become very close with each other before they are then forced to backstab one another in an attempt to claw their way to being the last one left. The psychological aspect of this game and what average people will do to each other for a million dollars has kept me watching since season 1, episode 1.

talking of Survivor, we had a show with the same title, may have been the same one shown in the states. It was set in the jungle somewhere, and we were told it was in the middle of nowhere, with many miles to travel before you found any civilisation...then a few days later after some screenings, there was an article in the paper about the place. Some pensioners/ retired old folk to you yanks, went on camping holidays to the same place, and there was a hickers trail that these 80 year old people used most days, which was just round the corner from where the tv crew and contestants were staying... lol fucking lies.

yeah, but picture the situation or arrangement.... you're shaggin the ass off of her, yeah good that maybe, but what afterwards?? where'd you go from there? you can't shag 24/7, she'd die on you.
I've seen her on some reality Tv show on a farm....she's fuckin dumb, and I aint just saying that, you'd get more decent conversation out of a dead pig, than her.

^_^ for real though, i hardly ever 'watch' tv. its on all the time, simply cuz i hate the silence (growing up, i took care of me and my bro as we couldnt afford a baby sitter. i couldnt play outside, busy street and no kids anyway. so tv was my friend, always will be)

anyway. when i actually DO watch TV (family gu y, futurama mainly) i know every single line, but watching it i realize all the jokes i totally dint understand

Anyway...I read all of this and I have to agree with every show mentioned here.......I also have to say that Friends (along with all of the shows that Bwind mentioned...But ESPECIALLY Friends) is the one show that I could never comprehend the popularity of...It has absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsover...It isn't entertaining in the least...Not even a little bit funny...I just don't get the appeal....


BUT...I don't have to deal with it...I rarely EVER watch television...Only horror movies (that I own) and occasionally Adult Swim...I get most of my news from the 'net......
