Exorcist: The Beginning???
 

This movie is out now, but no one is talking about it... I guess its that bad. Critics bashed it.. Did anyone like it??

It was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. An awful film and an insult to the original classic

I'm buyin' the dvd just to see the other version of the film that was scrapped.

i watched it last nite....the first 85 minutes are real boring....it gets crazy the last 20-25....but real messy...i don't understand why someone had to get possessed in the movie...i would've been cool with voodoo and demons.....but they get this lady all devilled up for the stinky climax...its pretty bad...stellen skar is okay...but the role doesn't require much.

yea it sucked pretty bad with the fake ass heinas attacking people but last couple of mins as stated b 4 were alright the only part that felt like i was actually watching a horror movie

It was okay. I do have to admit the hyenas were lame but I thought that Stellan Skarsgard (played Father Merrin) wasn't half bad. The ending was my favorite. But the first Exorcist is the best.

same here 3 out of 5. kept me entertained, whish she wasnt all horny when she got possessed though, that took away alot when she was all "fuck me fucke me" and what not.

she was just all horny and kicking.....then some shit happened.....yadda yadda yadda....she became undemonied.

if anyone ever sees this movie ever again they should watch it on an imax screen for the first 3 minutes then leave. this movie blew except for the inverted crucifixions at the first i was amazed to see the feilds of crusifide bodies 20 feet tall each that was very cool:cool: if i could find a picture of one person upside down it would be my new avatar.

READ MY RESPONSE TO THE REVIEW IN THE REVIEWS/ARTICLES SECTION.

I watched this movie last night, as it's been in my 'not watched yet' dvds. I agree with aborted, the inverted crucifixes were visually good, but apart from that and the last 5 minutes, I really didn't like this movie AT ALL.

I actually got up to go to the toilet and didn't put it on pause, which is something I never ever do.

The main bloke Ithough was doing his best Russell Crowe impression throughout and I was at a loss to figure out why the 2 kids and their dad had english accents? Maybe I missed something?

Once I realised this movie wasn't going to be directly related to the original exorcist, I decided to try and enjoy it as a movie in it's own right. But this is kinda hard to do when both posessed chicks look so similar.

For me, half the reason the original was scary was because it was a young girl; a middle-aged slut didn't quite do it for me...

Maybe I'm missing a huge big of the plot, but I thought this movie was forced and wouldn't have made the box office if it wasn't riding on the success of the original.

I felt embarrassed FOR them when they whipped that end CGI out.

I also strongly agree with this. The thing that bothered me so much when I watched The Exorcist for the first time was that the girl all these horrible, horrible things were happening to was as old as my little sister.

It's kind of a "loss of innoccence" type horror movie, a very forceful one. The thing about 'Beginning' was you just don't feel as bad or sickened when it happens to a grown woman, because you see bad things happen to adults in every other horror movie. The original dared to push the limits.

Although, I've just remembered a bit that freaked me out a little in 'beginning'. Near the end when she climbs over the rocks like a crab. There's something about seeing people move in weird ways like that, that disturbs me a little. Like in the Grudge, that was the freakiest part for me, when she climbs down the stairs. The crab-walking in the original exorcist was fucking scary shit for me. Gives me the shivers just thinking about it...
