Ju-on Grudge
ju-on Grudge 2
Dark Water
Halloween

slasherman 02-20-2005 08:56 AM

"Psycho 2"....
"One Missed Call"..
"Telefon" (1977)...maybe more a crimestory ..than horror

in all this films ...phone call plays an important role....but in "Halloween" and "Dark Water" it dont....the phones ring in almost every movie ;)

yup, forget which one though. All the freddy movies are blurred together in my mind, same with Jason.

your all mad Scream re invented the home alone phone call and has gotta be number one for tension

EXTR3MIST 03-01-2005 01:55 PM

Yes, the Phibes movie where Vincent Price remote-fires a spike into the lug of some unfortunate chap(it might even exit through the other one...).

To this day - and this is true - I sometimes double check the earpiece of the phone I'm using just in case anything might shoot out of it.

Of course where I live, it's also advisable to check public phones haven't got dog faeces around the ear and mouthpieces before use.

Little bastards.

bloody_ribcut 03-01-2005 10:08 PM

yeah, its just an old trick used by producers to differinciate the characters in the movie

Absolutely, cannot be touched by any phone call. Only other one I thought was pretty cool was the on in Scream where he said "I'm gonna cut you like a fish, bitch!" I found it funny and eeire at the same time. lol

IDrinkYourBlood 03-03-2005 08:33 PM

Sceams a terrible movie. Wes should have quit after Last House....

Moezilla 03-04-2005 05:57 AM

Agreed, Scream sucked ass but the phone call was one of the few highlights of the movie.

I live in Lilliput, and giant dogs roam the streets at night...

Speaking of phones, or more specifically, and thread-changingly, answer-phones... has anyone seen Swingers?

That movie has the best (only?) answer-phone gag scene in history by one of my favourite new actor/writers, Jon Favreau.

'never call me again'

EXTR3MIST 03-05-2005 10:48 AM
