Predator The restart?
 

I read a few days ago that they wanna restart "Predator" somewhere before the first film, and have a younger version of Arnolds character in it. 1 Question, why? "AvsP" was the problem. "Predator" was a great film. It needs to be left alone...period.

That would be pretty awesome, it would be soo stupid it was good

prequel its an ok idea..but I dont believe it will star Arnolds character from "Predator"..a memory los is to cheap...and you know he will survive....but in "Alien 3" Ripley did die...and she returned in the 4...

If this movie is a prequal to the original and with the same leading character, then "Predator the retard" would be a more suitable title..;)

Who cares...let it go. Predator sucked to begin with. The whole movie was an invisible nothing attacking people and ooo what do you know: we get a little peak of him at the very end while Arnold barehandedly defeats him. A terrible movie...if they give me the action and excitement i was hoping for in the first film i say "Lets do it". Remaking an awful movie like that is not a problem.

i thought predator(the first one, not the second with danny glover) was a good movie. and sometimes its better not to know what it is thats attacking people until the end. other movies like this: signs, jaws(only glimpses), plus several others.

They need to do a Predator that mixes in elements of Escape from NY. Crime is so bad we close off entire areas as prisons and sell get-away packages to predators to hunt the prisoners. Like a safari. Throw is some protestors for good measure and you've got a movie.

Violence, death, profiterring.

Or, what about a Predator reality show? You know, like survivor, only you're trying to survive on an island with a predator running around. Is that too much like Running Man?

It would be, but they have already established them as "Honorable Hunters". Hunting trapped prisoners would take all of the honor out of it.

Could be fun though. How about ALiens Vs Predator Vs. No Escape (ernie hudson and ray liotta would kick their asses!

you guys seem to think that preditor is a klingon or something, granted its a race of hunters but that's about it. anyways, I always thought it would be cool to see the preditor planet hollywood already made preditor vs alien which was a really cool isea and had been rumored about for years. The game was bad ass. blah, anyhow, I really liked both preditor movies and I think a visit to the home world or a better look into their space ship might be groovy.

Yes a spaceship from earth landing on their planet, would actually be a cool idea. A little like Aliens.

nothing passed the first movie exists to me. both the second movie and "avp" were fucking horrible. and if they try to use arnold's character in a prequel it'd make absolutely no sense at all.

Predator was a fine movie. MOre than teh actual storyline, the reason it's endured is the fantastic creature design. If the creature would have sucked, the movie wouldn't be the genre classic it's considered.

Have the sequel(s) utilized the creature design in the best possible storylines? No, not really. Predator 2 would have been good if I wasn't a sequel. It was just a rehash of the first one except it transplanted the Predator to the city.

I think there are still some good Predator stories to be told. The comics have proven that. It's just finding the right director to get behind it. (And Paul W.S. Anderson is definitely not that director. That guy should be shot on sight if he's even seen within a mile of a movie studio.)

as long as its not pg-13 it might be a good movie.. but then again when ppl make sequals or prequals to old movies it tends to suck

Personally, I think they should have made a Predator 3 before they did Alien Vs Predator.

I heard they were making sort of a prequel but I thought they did that in AVP. Predator is more of a sci-fi/action flick rather than a horror flick. In fact the only thing remotely horror about it is the way Predator kills people, when he skins them and shit.
