Not a horror movie I know but the "real" trailer for The punisher is online. As most of you know it's based on Marvels best selling comic book hero(a bad ass one I might say) and it looks pretty goood. I hope it will get the r rating because if it does it could be realy good, and by the way it's lookin it might:) . I can't believe they actually got Travolta to play the villain in this. I'm looking forward to it.

I've just recently been getting into THE PUNISHER (thanks to a buddy who sent me the collected "Welcome Home, Frank" series), and this trailer looks *awesome!* I can't wait to see this one!

Punisher, Wolverine, Magneto, Iron Man, Thor, and Spider-Man are the only Marvel characrers I like. The Fantastic Four are pretty cool too. Oh yeah, and Blade kicks ass.

Damn. Link didn't work. And the old Punisher movie with Dolph Lundgren isn't really that close to the Marvel character at all. Still a good "guy movie" though.

I cant seem to view the trailer, computers fucked again. Who is playing Frank Castle anyone know? Written and directed by whom? Garth Ennis is an excellent writer for this character(if your into comic books) He also did a Hulk special comic that was good, it has the Hulk throwing a tank just like in the movie, he also did a post apocalyptic comic called Just a Pilgrim which was good and then he did this little comic book series called Preacher. That would make one hell of a mini-series.

Frank will be played by Thomas Jane of Dreamcatcher fame and Travolta will play the villain. Not familiar with the director as this is his first film.

Who exactly is the "villain" ? A character made up for the movie?

yea who is the villain. i like marvel comics but have only read a little bit of the punisher. i like fantastic four (if you haven't seen their movie you should consider yourself lucky) spider man, x-men, the new hawk eye series is shaping up ok, avengers are cool too.

i think that kevin smith should have wrote the daredevil movie it probably would have been better.

youre goddamned right Dolph fucking rules. I was dissapointed to hear he wasnt gunna be in the new one.
My only beef is this, this movie better be violent as hell. This isnt spiderman, and it isnt x-men. This is frank castle the punisher who kills mutherfuckers. thats his gig. thats what he does. he kills people with guns and knives and grenades and shit. If this movie goes all "Spider-Man" on me Im going to lose it. I want to see motherfuckers get shot. I want zero remorse. I want to see him standing over their bloodied corpses smoking a cigarette, saying some metal as balls one liner, flicking the butt onto them and walking off into the shadows. In my eyes, the punisher is one of the last bad asses left.

sadley im willing to bet my balls that itl be verry child friendley so to speak, i mean shit... have you seen any non horror movies being released lateley that uses the kind of violence wed all know the punisher would use? all movies are being aimed at kids these days...

Im with moon on this one, if hollywood is makin it, you better believe they're gonna water it down to make the most possible money from the biggest possible audiance. A marvel film rated R? lol.

thats exactley what the problem with todays movies are, they are watered down to minnimum just to make more money, i mean even horror movies have an age limit 15 these days...that aint right, it should be messy.

It'll probably be worse than The Hulk...

Good Lord, I hope not (worse than THE HULK).

Believe it or not, the last thing I heard about THE PUNISHER's rating is that it *is* indeed going to be Rated R. Shouldn't be long till we know 100% for sure, but I'm sure hoping so!

Well said, I'm speechless.

The Hulk wasn't THAT bad. The only thing really wrong with it was that we all went hoping to see senseless action and violence and we didn't. It was just a little more cerebral than anyone expected a movie based on the Incredible Hulk to be. They're already beginning to work on the sequel.

No...not a sequel. Anything but a sequel. I went in expected a great film b/c Ang Lee and Eric Bana were involved. I did not get that though. I was not expecting senseless action and I still hated it. What they thought they were doing with Nolte's character I'll never understand.

Punisher is going to fuggin rock out. Not sure how good they did pickin the Punisher (Mickey Mantle from "61"), but we'll see. Kinda along the lines of comic book heroes, wouldnt a Green Lantern movie be bad ass? I know they're doin another batman, with Christian Bale......but idk, like just do a bunch of ppl, flash, do another superman, lantern, and they're even doing a catwoman flick w/ Halle Berry as Catwoman.

im not racist in any way. not only is catwoman white, but more importantly shes michele fypher (sp?). I have little respect for Berry I saw her on BET several years ago talking about how black people are exploited in films and she said that the role of storm in X-men was originally a white role and they had to have a minority in it so they made storm black. What a dumb bitch.

umm storms always been african. she was a orphan in africa and they consider her a goddess. storm was never white in the comics so y would she have been potrayed as white in the films. as for the punisher i am looking forward to it.

I have read a couple of articles about the game, it sounds awsome. You can interrogate people and if they don't talk you can beat em' up, throw them out windows and more. I also read that there is a wood chipper:cool:
