I watched this last night after buying it in the cheap bin at the video store. Slash was a hell of a lot better than I expected and was one of the better modern slashers I've seen recently.

It had a reasonable budget. I think it was a South African production. But yeh I'm pretty sure it would have gone straight to video like it did over here. These links might shed some light on it for you.

Oh come on, you can't honestly tell me this honkytonk horror movie was better than "Cut". This movie was terrible, except for the killers outfit. The plot was utterly stupid. Some guy is pissed because his grandson failed to save him from a fire when his grandson was 7 years old? Gimme a break. :rolleyes:

HEY!...I just watched this with Dustin 3 nights ago...He really liked it...Maybe it appeals more to musicians...I liked it, too...I've definitely seen a lot worse......I actually think that Steve Railsback is just good in ANYTHING that he does...

Maybe you're right about it apealing to musicians :p I thought Cut was a pretty cool movie aswell.

What's Cut about?

a guy getting a vascectomy

A movie is made, a slasher film called "Hard Boiled" or something like that. Anyways, when they first made the film, the director was killed by the guy who was playing scarman, the killer in the film. Molly Ringwalds character kills him though, by stabbing him with his own pair of modified garden shears. Now fast forward a few years later, the daughter of the director wants to try and finish the film. Despite the fact that all those who have tried to finish it have died mysteriously. They even bring back Mollys character to star in the movie. But then the murders start up once more. Everyone thinks it's a human serial killer, but theres a more supernatural tinge to it all, which involves the film itself.

This ones I think are better than "Slash" and "Cut" but there not great either :D
