Top 10 Overall Movies.

What do you consider the 10 best movies ever made?

This doesnt nessecarily mean your favorites [Ex- Street Fighter is one of my favorite movies. It wouldnt be anywhere near this list]

Heres mine:

1. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
2. Pit and the Pendulum
3. The Shining
4. Halloween
5. Silence of the Lambs
6. Night of the Living Dad
7. K-Pax
8. For a Few Dollars More
9. Escape from New York
10. Hang 'Em High

Id say that my list is mostly pretty generic, but I cant see many other people choosing K-Pax. I personally find this a captvating film, great acting by Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges, aswell as most of the smaller characters, such as the asylum patients. Paired with a gripping mystery, an original plot, and one of the best endings ever filmed...that makes one hell of a good movie.

orangestar 01-30-2005 07:51 AM

K-Pax was good...I just bought it yesterday. It might be in my top 100, but not top 10. Anyway....

1. Fight Club
2. A Clockwork Orange
3. Amadeus
4. American History X
5. Memento
6. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
7. Schindlers List
8. Requiem for a Dream
9. Shawshank Redemption
10. Being John Malkovich

runner ups:
Monster's Ball, Titanic, Donnie Darko, Dogma, Love Actually

EXTR3MIST 01-30-2005 08:55 AM

I preferred the softcore porn version: K-SEX!

From the makers of The Erotic Witch Project and all that funny stuff.

None of my favourite movies have pairs of overalls in them, except for Confessions of a Window Cleaner.

There is your problem right there. Damn, im surprised they even attempted to show it on TV. You really have to watch the whole thing and see how the character turns around to appreciate it as a work of art. Kubrick's masterpiece. And probably my favorite movie of all time.

Although i seldom watch it;)

When choosing the best movies made rather than YOUR favorite movies made, you got to put personal bias aside and look at what the movie done for film making, mass marketing and, of course, audiences. Some of these are in my favorite "top ten" but most of them aren't.

The GodFather (part 1)
Jaws
The Exorcist
Forrest Gump
Nosferatu
One Flew Over The Cookoos Nest
The Ten Commandments
Ben Hur
Phantom of the Opera
Saving Private Ryan

AUSTIN316426808 02-01-2005 01:24 AM

I don't think I can say what the best are but here are my favorites in no paticular order.

As Good As It Gets
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Halloween
Eqilibrium
Scarface
Silence of the Lambs
Dumb and Dumber
The Shining
Training Day
A Beautiful Mind/Chicago(don't bother I get enough gay jokes from my friends)

and basicly any movie starring Clint Eastwood,Jim Carrey and Jack.

bwind22 02-01-2005 01:49 AM

In no order, the 10 best films ever are as follows...

Reservoir Dogs
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)
Dawn of the Dead (original)
Scarface
Memento
The Usual Suspects
Dazed and Confused
The Big Lebowski
True Romance
Full Metal Jacket
