well, not as much as when i was a kid :)
a book on Paul Verhoeven (from somone in Holland) a Rammstein DVD A Lord of the Rings action figure set :) A sci-fi/horror encyclopedia a book on James Bond A book on the Brothers Hildebrandt a framed double handprint of my son in blue paint which i'll be proudly hanging in my office at work :) kinder eggs a 'grow me' patrick (my son got the spongebob) a dvd set of The Veil (a boris karloff tv series that never got to air) thats pretty much that ... except i have carte blanche to buy DVDs at my local used DVD place that has a kick ass sale on boxing day .. so I'll probably have 20 more DVDs to report tomorrow :) |

Shaun of the dead UK version dvd (still missing in the post) Japanese dvd: Tales of the unusual A coffee + plunger set Book: The 50 greatest movies never made Oh yeah, and with my korean friend who does't really celebrate christmas...I'm gonna write a (3 course) thai recipe and buy him the ingredients to make it at home for himself and family, and he's doing the same with a korean recipe for me...neither of us had a great deal of cash, so yeah...this is pretty much as good, or better than a gift to me. Spending time with my ppl was cool too... - B |
I got...
- Bills that MAY be paid off by June (if I'm lucky) - Visits and phone calls from people I don't like - At LEAST 5 more pounds to try to take back off, and a stomachache from too much food, candy, and sweets (although Wicked Lady does make excellent cookies ;)) - Forced to suffer through unbridled, early-morning excitement - Snow up to my knees (that has to be shoveled out of the driveway and off the steps)...I HATE snow - A lot of fake smiles and "Oh, I love it"s when everyone knows they don't:rolleyes: - 2 cats puking up silver garland - A kitchen full of dishes - A HUGE mess to clean up in the parlor - The obligation of taking the kids shopping in order to return and/or exchange stuff that doesn't fit, and/or is just plain hideous (ie: pretty much everything the kids got from my mother, who doesn't realize when she tells MY kids, "But, it's in style, everyone's wearing it", "It's a very popular name brand" and/or "It's expensive", it makes them hate it SOOO much more and who thinks she has figured out that if something is BLACK, they will love it no matter what, even if it's a black, knitted poncho *ugh...poor Seri*, or an LEI cap with a fuzzy ball on top of it...*sigh* )... - And alot of STUFF, that I don't need, and now have to figure out where to put, in a house already stuffed FULL of 'STUFF' What I got that I actually DID want and appreciate, was another day to be alive and spend time with my kids, and the comfort and joy of knowing that they are safe, happy, healthy, intelligent, beautiful and mine...Which is what I have EVERY day, without all of the bullshit:) BTW...Merry Christmas you guys:) |

I got a new sterio its all like future lookin ad it has a digital tuner so no more gettin half the station other half fuzz dvd rack spiderman 2 harry potter 3 some lounge pants damn comfy still goin to my gmas i wanted the jason set but idk yet got the star wars trilogy for my bday which was the 12th and damn fucking amazing huge fan and battlefront is a badass game just cuz i love being the empire very cool |

Well I'm spending Christmas through New Years in London, so that's basically my gift from my parents.
As far as gifts that you can actually unwrap, I got the following: A book of 'cult' movie quotes A book of 'movie mistakes' Kingdom of Fear by Hunter S. Thompson a nice sweater to keep me warm here in London, i've been freezing my butt off! Jelly beans, chocolate from Godiva a British Christmas Ale a check for $150 from my grandpa L50 (fifty $pounds) from my parents The Criterion Collection of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and a book about storybooking and the film process and I still have more gifts to open once my girlfriend arrives tomorrow! |

a light up spider man pen from my 2 nieces $10 to walmart from my sister a sketch book w/ colored pencils from my brother my bfs taking me shopping tomorrw :) $25 from my bfs mom babys first year calendar hello kitty tin w/ a necklace that says capricorn, a bracelt w/ an "A" on it, a lil ceramic dragon and socks inside it. a scrapbook to put all my baby pics in w/ paper and tickers for t inside a thing of reeses peanut butter cups in shape of xmas trees even the lil one got something from grandma. my mom got a lil green body suit w/ a fuzzy lil bear on it and socks and a hat to match THE WORST GIFT I GOT WAS FROM MY DAD AND STEP MOM, THEY GOT ME A BATH SCRUB THING THATS ON A STICK.
