Do you remember when you first came to Horror.Com?

What was the first thing that you can remember happening here?...Maybe it something that you read, maybe there was a certain member that you thought was cool...Maybe there was a member that you just flat out hated, or perhaps your first time here you were involved in a fight...Pretty common occurance here...lol...Anyway...Share your memory...The first thing that happened...Your first impressions...



When I first came here, I was reading a thread by one of the guys about how they were surprised that so many girls were into horror, AND that they actually knew their stuff (believe it or not, it USED to be about HORROR here)...Anyway...

I never had a new member thread...Instead, my very first post was a challenge to the guys, that I could take any of them in a horror trivia battle...Well, Arioch backed out, Moonsorrow stepped up...When Moonsorrow saw that I was serious, and that he couldn't compete, he chose Avenger to take his place...He kicked my ass SO fucking hard...I had been righteously humbled...If I had known anything about Avenger beforehand, there would have been no way in HELL that I would have taken him on...ESPECIALLY not in movies...I would have had a much better chance in books...As long as I stayed away from McCammon;)...I KNOW I could have taken him on King...

Well..I could go on about that forever, but I'll spare you guys...

Now, it's your turn...Tell me about it...I really wanna know...Try to include as many people, that were involved in your experience, as you can remember...

I signed up not long before one of the incarnations of Darth Bane. Lol, it was pretty funny.

Not long after I came here, I got a taste of Sam and Kpro's flames. I started a "Battle of the Best" competition, I got the shit flamed outta me, funny....

i joined after the freddy fan event. i became friends w/ wicked lady. i also remember pming creeper and asking questions about using avatars and sigs, he was very helpful. thats about all i remember

I remember thinking Arioch and Sam the Egg were really cool. Avenger and Doctor K knowing everything horror.

I also remember getting shit for posting threads in the wrong forum all the time.

Not long after I joined...there were the mysterious mass bannings, then the Monster Dad cock scandal.

I also remember a bunch of controversy hovering around the "Post your Pic" threads where we would participate in virtual orgies.

So, obviously I've been hooked ever since.

I can't remember when I first came in, it was AGES ago...I remember talking to avenger, Bloodrayne...Creeper....posting about what I still think would be a badass idea for a F vs J vs A possibility, yep, I came in in the age of the Freddy vs Jason 2 hysteria , and shortly after, I got indirectly blamed allover the net for the Freddyfan "incident" after a bit of an asshole comment I made to him, but I still maintain, it was a joke and he knew it.

i had just bought and set up my new computer and the first thing i did when i got online was search horror and horror.com was the first thing that popped up i clicked it and my first post was stupid and before i really started realizing what was real horror and what was bullshit anyway it was about the announcement made at dimension films that the next halloween movie was going to be michael vs pinhead obviously that got scrapped.

i was then happy about that but i soon came to realize that it wouldve probably sucked just like most sequals do.talking about the michael vs pinhead movie got me into a arguement with some guy about who would win(how fucking stupid was that).

hmmm.... never got flamed but that's because i keep to myself.
did admit to liking... nay, loving buffy and was ready to get flamed a fierce one for that, but BG swooped in and had my back ( thanks mulder :D ). got a pm from someone within the first weeks i joined and we still speak to this day. thank you hdc for ensuring me a comfortable future.... lol ;)

Pretty much the same here. Have not been here for too long, but have kinda kept to myself. I didn't post in the new members lounge coz I didn't want to get 'fuck you'd!'. ;)

No offence here, but I remember originally looking through a heap of posts and thinking that Sam The Egg was just.... rude. It seemed like he was telling everyone to fuck off. I don't know if I have got used to it, or if he has changed a little? I think I know the response I will get for this too...

As I have mentioned before, I remember reading both Steve and Urgeok's posts and thinking they are good, fair guys.

Also, fellow Aussie Cheeba PM'd me and said welcome and asked where in Australia I was from. I thought (and still think) that was a pretty decent thing to have done. Cheers Cheeb!

I came in specifically to pimp Scared Yet .Net (no big surprise to anyone there.... :D), but decided that simply joining a forum to pimp one's site was a shitty thing to do, so i posted something in the games forum about They Hunger.

I joined in to many conversations about movies and tv shows, then joined into many many many insult fests with Darth Bane and his ilk.

By the time i actually started pimping my shit, i was a long-established member.

I remember fondly some older members liek mudsliptones tat were freindly and liked my writing. i never felt any wrath from kpro, not so much as an "FU Noob!".

I bonded early with ShankS due to our mutual love of beer and big boobies (lump newb/budman into that as well, at least on the beer wagon)

I remember butting heads hard with VampRocker over abortion.

I also never argued with SFF in the beginning. I actually had nothing against her, but then she tore into one of the younger members (i cant remember who) for no good reason, so i became less than freindly.

Oh yeah, and i remember when Ritualistic used Courier New as her standard font, and i thought she was a guy :D (no offence, ritual)

Oh god, i still have nightmares about when i thought Arioch was a girl.... I thought maybe he was sensitive about his appearance and fwelt like a humumgo asshole. took me a bit to get over that. (he does make a hot chick though. :D)

That's because we joined in the same month. but just to make things right...:D :p

Im not sure what happened to ege. he was pretty distraught over falling in love with his recent step sister and pretty much disappeared. His site is till up, so i am hoping he is okay and just not posting.

I never posted in the New Member Lounge so I never got flamed.
I joined about the same time as SFF.I remember her getting all upset over Sam's comment about her kid. I also remember Sam as being somewhat nasty but he has definately mellowed with age and is now one of my favorite posters.

I did kinda bond with Vod and a couple of others. As a matter of fact I'm expecting Vod & Bree to ask me to be the godfather of their offspring, when the magic moment happens.

On the topic of Sam:

Ya, I agree with those here who thought he was an asshole when the 1st joined. Actually, I stuck by that for longer than most of you.....but you do get used to him, eventually byou begin to apeciate his humor, lol
