What do you all think about the Poltergeist Movies?

They scared me to death as I was a Kid and this old Guy Kane, still scares me, he is really creepy.

Somebody told me that on the Poltergeist Movies is a Curse ( hope I wrote it right ) cause so many People who filmed the Movie died, is that true? I only know about the Girl that played Carol Anne, but not about anybody else, maybe somebody of you knows more.

Agreed . . . the old preacher used to scare the shit out of me as well. And the "tequila worm" sequence is one of the most disturbing things ever filmed, IMO.

Don't know about a curse, but I know the chick who played the older sister in the first film was murdered by her boyfriend.

Whether or not scary, they had a knack for being freaky/creative. The half man that Coach vomits. The long legged thing in the hallway blocking the entrance to the childrens room. the braces, the moving meat, the forty year old smpoking dope... it was all very creative and interesting to watch at all times.

Plus, story wise, this was a good one. It wasn't so much about an Native American Burial Ground, but rather a Christian Burial Ground. I love that alone. It was original and it was very well done.

the third in the series didn't strike me as all that good, but I did enjoy the two ghouls in the elevator making out while they rip each other's face off. Again, very creative.

Kane died after they filmed the second movie as well. So someone has died after each film was released.

THAT GUY WHO WAS PLAYING A PREACHER USED TO SCARE THE HELL OUTTA ME TOO.

I know this may sounds strange, but it´s true, believe it or now:

I was about 14 years old, I remember as my Parents had a Party in the Hotel with the rest of our Family and me, my Cousin and a Friend of mine watched Poltergeist and after that went outside and played infront of the Hotel, then this old Guy ( he looked so much like Kane, even it ws kinda dark ) came by and I said: Hello Children, aren´t you affraid to play in the Dark? So we screaed and run inside, I´ll never forget it, also my Friend and my Cousin said that this Guy look so much like Kane

I'm watching it right now.

I love this flick... But IMO the little lady is fucking scary.. LOL

She looks like my best friend's grandma.

she also starred in a movie called "asylum" it is an awesome movie...

About the curse.. I heard the oldest daughter in the film died after the first one..the boy after the second one and Carol anne died of a slip up of medication in a hospital after the third one..Never heard about Kane dying though..Just what I had heard.. Oh yeah this guy Im dating his mother looks just like Tangina..FREAK OR WHAT..same voice and height..everything..I kinda freaked out when I met her...LIKE WHOA

The little boy just wrote and directed a movie a few years back. He's not dead. Kane is the one who died after the second film.

I don´t wantch it very often only the 1st Part, cause no Kane in it ;)

I heard that Zelda Rubinstein is also dead but die a couple of years later then the others. I thought she was kinda cool in the Movie, sure she also was a little bit scarey, but Kane is pure Horror for me.

I've just finished watching the original Poltergeist and would like to say it was very, very, very scary movie. One of the scariest I've seen. The clown doll scared me. The skeletons coming out of the ground scared me and a hell of a lot of more stuff that scared the hell out of me in this movie. The thing that scared me the most is when the girl was going to open the door and save her children and she got shocked and that ghost appeared. That ghost scared me to death. Whenever I see a fuzzy tv screen or a clown doll or anything else from this movie, I will be scared. And I mean scared. This is a must-see horror movie. It's a horror classic.

So it scared you.. and it is a classic... WONDERFUL :D

Zelda Rubinstein just did a film last year. I don't think she is dead either. I'm not 100 percent positive on this one though.

I saw a special on the making of Poltergeist and apparently they used real skeletons as props in the first one for the muddy pool scene. The actress found this out afterwards and was NOT happy.
