Michael Myers, because there are insane killers. So there is a feeling of this could really happen when you watch it.

Last time I checked, there werent any insane killers that could take that kind of a beating. He is cool though.

There are ways to beat him. Just don't give inbto your fear. I would say the scariest one would be Fredy and Jason. One can killm you in your sleep. While the other one can just kill you.

agreed - I saw it about the same time also in the theater and it freaked me out totally.

I'd also argue for Michael becomes he comes to your house - Jason stays in his woods and Freddy is largely stuck on Elm Street - ergo, as long as I avoid woods and streets named after trees I should be fine (as long as Jason isn't taking one of his brief vacations to NYC or outer space).

Well they're all pretty scary, but I think Myers just edges it over the other three. He's a cold killer, like Jason, but it's the patience of this guy that swings it. He's prepared to watch, wait, bide his time. He really STALKS his victims. Creepy!

and I think Michael Myers is scarier than the others, and that's judging them based on "first appearances". I would love to go up against Chucky. I can think of a million ways I'd like to toast that plastic little bastard.

For the first time in my life I actually had a nightmare about Freddy Krueger about a week ago. It was like Freddy's Revenge, only I was in that teetering bus. Weird!

Apart from that, he's never really scared me (well, the notion of having to watch The Dream Child again does).

I'm voting Voorhees for the woods factor. I hope if we ever meet he's in his own body so he doesn't puke a worm into my mouth.
