Giant cartoon characters floating through the air, endless marching bands, minor celebrity adorning floats, and vacuous commentary from NBC's "Today" show "news" team.

Everyone loves a parade. Just not me. :)

The Thanksgiving Day Parade is Lame........If not for the Tradition factor, I don't think It would still be around......No entertainment at all......

i HATE parades ... with one exception ... the bagpipe and drums ..
that still sends a shiver down my spine ..

To me, Parades are vacuous shit.

Hell no man this is Texas!!! We eat/drink, watch football, eat/drink some more, watch more football, eat/drink some more, watch some more football, eat/drink some more, play some football, go to hospital to fix broken bones.............:( :D

But itz sooooo much fun to be in them!!! I just did our Santa Claus Parade, Ive been in it with various groups for 4 years now. Great Fun!

glad we dont have that sort of stuff all the time....waste of tax payers money imo.

We do have a carnival, some of you may have heard of it, Notting Hill Carnival and tbh and not being racist I wish they would take it somewhere else. It just brings trouble into the area... crime figures go up, there's been stabbings at a few of them, and I believe someone died 2 years ago, also the drug dealing is on the rise.

police reckon they keep it under cotrol, but my fucking taxes go towards that, and it's predominatly for black people, and they bring all the trouble. I've been living in london for over 30 years and black crime has risen considerably and recent figures are being argued against by black community political representatives, and there are calls for the police to become more lenient towards these people.... pfftft pisses me off

Hell no, I refuse to watch those damn things. Thanksgiving Day means Football man. Football,no stinkin parades.

I posted it for all to read, I've nothing to hide. It's not a racially motivated stand.

just my insignificant protest that a big majority of my firends, a couple who are black, who all share the same view. The have the same view towards the carnival (see previous post) as myself.... bloody waste of space and resources.

the parades stopped being fun when they put an end to tossing candy at the little kids.:(

I watched it for awhile this morning with my mom...then I turned it over to The Nutty Professor. :D
I would have liked the parade better if they'd left out all the people singing. :o Or at least got some good bands to perform. :p

I would watch them if all the floats caught on fire and the Shriners got into a car accident.

The only parades i watch are in my pants :)
