So......seen any good movies recently?

I saw the SpongeBob movie Sunday ...
Pretty funny stuff.

Not so much Squidworth or Sandy - my two least favorite characters ... so that was a bonus.

newb 11-23-2004 11:48 AM

Damn....my youngest is 13 now so he doesn't want to go see the good movies anymore. i.e. Spongebob or Polar Express.

gren 11-23-2004 11:53 AM

The last movie I went to see was I, Robot...I really liked it...But, Sergio yelled at me for talking too much:D...It was only because I had it all figured out in the first 30 minutes...lol
Oh, but don't you just HATE it when people do that?...lol...

Sergio- "Shut up, you haven't even SEEN this movie yet"

LMAO:D

It was okay, I stopped talking after that.......Well, except for the one part, where the guy snapped his fingers at the other guy, and then the other guy stepped forward to put the file on the desk...Then I was like "FUCK THAT...Bitch wouldn't be snappin' his fingers at ME, I'd break 'em off and shove 'em up his ass...Who the fuck does he think he IS?"...Sorry, but that shit REALLY pisses me off...

They're talking about seeing the Spongebob movie now:cool:

Oh yeah...I also got yelled at for putting my boots up on the seat in front of me....I didn't see what the big deal was...It was a midnight showing in a small town...NO ONE else was there...I told him that HE was talking too much, bitching at me...lol:p

I should make a trip to the local Brew-vie theater....Nothing better than a movie and beer.....There used to be this brew-vie theater in a town that I lived that I'd go to to watch the WWF pay-per-view events...I'm not a big wrestling fan, but something about being in a theater full of drunk, white trash, and watching them get in fist fights and shit over the wrestlers they were rooting for sure made for a good time......Good Beer and Pizza too!

i have CowBoy Bebop, and a lot of the better anime films ..

I didnt actually mind Moulon Rouge except for the seizure inducing opening sequence.
I know it was cut that way on purpose but it was way too active and almost made me puke..

Patrick is everyones fave in Spongebob... and he was the best thing in the movie .. see it !

Arioch 11-23-2004 01:50 PM

The STE 11-23-2004 01:53 PM

day of the dead is becoming my favorite.
It wasnt at first but the more times I see it the more i like it.

I've talked to a few people thet feel the same way but not many.

I think the characters are stronger and I dont mind the feeling of claustrophobia most people dont like (although the mall wasnt much bigger - just brighter and with more visual stimulus.

if you hate spongebob .. you will loath the movie .. it isnt anything more than an extended version of the cartoon ...
but thats cool with me - i wasnt expecting anything more or less..

Arioch 11-23-2004 02:03 PM

It actually reminded me alot of John Carpenter's The Thing.....had that same claustrophobic, trust no one, feel to it....

urgeok 11-23-2004 02:07 PM

it felt more like rats stuck in a cage to me ..
as in Dawn, they were cornered, which is always the worst form of defence ... no escape. (thank god for helicopters in these films)

it certainly added to why certain characters were going over the top ..
something else that bothered me at first but i came to realize how appropriate their behavior would have been under the circumstances.
(cabin fever more or less)

the jamaican and irish guy are a lot of fun...

Arioch 11-23-2004 02:12 PM

That they are....

filmmaker2 11-23-2004 02:21 PM

"Lay off the fuckin' booze for a minute, why doncha--and get somebody on that fuckin' horn, PRONTO!"

"If we stay down here any longer, I'll have to lay off the fuckin' booze, Steele, because there won't fuckin' be any of it fuckin' LEFT!"

Or something like that...

urgeok 11-23-2004 02:37 PM

i love the music too ...
I bought the sountrack by a crooked prick on Ebay (overcharged on the shipping) but the disc is fantastic.

DraculaInDallas 11-23-2004 08:32 PM

Gren the cake 11-23-2004 11:16 PM

real fighting > cg

but im still lookin forward to Trinity. snipes is da shittttttt

phantomstranger 11-24-2004 09:46 PM

Horror wise..nothing good of late
"Natinal Treasure" was pretty entertaining...kind of a cross between Indy Jones and Mission:Impossible
"The Incredibles" was great
and "After The Sunset" had Salma Hayek in a bikini...which proves there is a God.

wufong 11-24-2004 11:09 PM

sponge bob is funny
