umm yeah what he said lol

jay o2 waster 11-20-2004 04:54 PM

lol, how many movies u download a wee sam

The STE 11-20-2004 05:22 PM

oddly enough, not many. I don't have the patience to just download all willy-nilly, so I usually just stick to the stuff I REALLY want to see, but isn't playing around/at the time, or if I don't want to wait to see it at the theater. Like right now I'm downloading The Machinist, which isn't playing at any theater within 30 miles of my house.

jay o2 waster 11-20-2004 05:33 PM

so far tonight i downloaded exorcist the beginning, and im downloading Doctor Gore

bloodrayne 11-20-2004 07:25 PM

Here it's $9...I guess that's pretty average...

jay o2 waster 11-20-2004 10:26 PM

FInished doctor gore and now dling shaun of the dead 85% done

Punisher... So that was $10 I would have been better off giving to a bum on the corner, rather than waste my time watching that shitty movie.

Yeah I know. How bad is that!?!?!

urgeok 11-22-2004 06:12 AM

ticket prices in toronto are varied ..
even for new releases .. we have so called 'luxury theatres' where you can play $14 or $15 or the regulars that are $13.
there are some budget theatres around $9 or $10 .. and before 5:00pm its even cheaper.

the sweet thing is that often the cereal i buy has $4.00 coupons for the show.

so the 3 of us can go to this one theatre near us in the afternoon and pay $3.00 in total ..

FairyKorpes 11-22-2004 06:14 AM

It's $12.00 here where i live. And heaven forbid you buy snacks, might as well mortgage the fucking house.

thats where the theatre makes their money ... not on the ticket sales .. that barely pays for the film rental.

they are able to stay in business only because of the consessions ..

Here in PA, because they are not very accessible, we pay anywhere from $1,000 to $1,500 for an adult manatee.

whats worse is that they are fussy eaters and its a bitch to find a tank large enough.

meetthecreeper 11-23-2004 10:09 AM

The theater we have in town only has 2 screens its 5 bucks for a flick but the theater only holds about 30 people.

Its like watching a movie on a big screen television, so we dont go there often. Have to drive about 70 miles to see a film on an actual screen over 7 feet wide.

We do have a drive in down in Gibson City, Harvest Moon drive in, only thing is they run a half hour intermission so people can go to the snack bar.

Its like 20 bucks a carload so that aint too bad, we take the truck, the cooler, and the baby weber and BBQ there. Some folks get there real early and play softball in the bean field or whatever. Its a good time, plus you listen to the movie over your car stereo which is kind of kool.

filmmaker2 11-23-2004 10:13 AM

It is WAY COOL that you have a drive-in somewhere nearby. There are very few of 'em left, and we gotta cherish them before they get bulldozed. Drive-Ins are THE COOLEST thing, in the world. Well, next to one or two or three other things.

I know of one that is local here in Los Angeles, and I would love to go sometime, it's been twelve freaking years since I've been to one!

idaemon68 11-24-2004 04:57 AM
