Since all the Japanese remakes are coming out in America, our video store has just got in a copy of The Eye and Ju On!

Hooray!

Anyone got opinions on either of them?

The Eye had some good atmosphere and melodrama, haven't seen Ju-On.

The Eye is like sixth sense but kicks ass, got both Grudge movies, best horror i seen in years. got Kairo but not impressed. Has any one seen A LIVING HELL? Supposed to be a japanese TCM.

yeah, 3 if you count the 2 Jap Grudges and the remake

but four Jap ones....

Ju-On The Grudge
Ju-On The Grudge 2
Ju-On The Curse
Ju-On The Curse 2

The two Grudge ones being the better of the four imo.

Havnt had a chance to see Ju-On yet (I think Blockbuster here has it, too)

But The Eye is amazing, one of the best Ive seen in a long time.

a living hell was ok, i preferred another heaven.

I just picked up The Eye 2 5 minutes ago..

These guys are gonna pump these films out like mad if the americans are going to keep remaking them.

I'm sure there will be a run on the Korean flicks next.

they'll probably end up going straight to Hollywood instead of using a foreign team to produce the film....so what could have been a good Jap film will never exist.

actually i scooped 8 asian horror flicks today ...
they have a 4 for 20$ deal .. professional quality bootlegs from hong kong ..

I finally have a copy of Ju-Oh with english subtitles now ..

along with a bunch of stuff i've never heard of before ..

Also i grabbed a Tinto Brass boxset .. there's about 11 movies in it !

waiting till Feb for the Ju-On Grudge sets to released on R2. Gona be 2 disc sets so should be interesting to see what the extra stuff will contain.
