Yay!! Pissed off the cops AGAIN!!
 

Well we finally got our bass amp and a practice room and apparently we offended some people because our band is pretty loud now and we were playing after 10:00pm and so the cops came, we told them we wouldnt play after 10 so no big deal they left....

Well the next day we went to practice again and quit at 10 and the cops STILL showed up....luckily they were cool about it and told us to just talk to the neighbors.....

Fuck the mentalities of people who would rather you go to jail then walk across the street like a human being and ask you to turn it down....:mad:

Ya actually the cop (the second time) was actually really cool, he talked to us about the time he saw red hot chili peppers play in austin in a COFFIE HOUSE:eek: damn thats old school....

Its the neighbors and that mentality im really irked about.....people just dont care about their fellow man anymore, if they came over and told us like "hey guys i gotta work, can you guys cut it off at 9 or something?" we would have...

But since they called the cops, (and their are potentially illegal substances at this house, and underage drinking) now they get it till 10 oclock EVERY NIGHT.....FUCKS!!!

My neighbors are assholes, too.Every Sunday morning I get fucking rap music pounding through the walls.I just say fuck it and ignore it the best I can.I would never consider calling the cops before I talked to them.

They were bitches the first time....but the second time they were really cool....youd think it be the other way around ehh?But perhaps my initial post needs some redirecting...

Some cops are total dicks.Several years ago I woke up to loud banging on my front door at 2 in the morning.When I finaly woke up and got the door I was greeted by 4 cops with some kind of battering ram getting ready to knock my door down.They pushed thier way in flashing a warrant around and kept asking me where I was hiding the "bulk marijuana".I was fucking puzzled, sure I smoke it but have never had it in mass quantities or sold it.
They spent 2 hours tearing my house apart and scaring the shit out of my 2 year old son who was woken up as they rumaged through his room.When all was said and done they wound up taking 1 pipe and a High Times magazine(I didn't know these were illegal to own, and I had no weed that night).After thier big bust they didn't say sorry or even take me to jail, fuck they never filed any charges.I still wonder if they got a promotion for that sting.I have always wondered what made them think I had "bulk marijuana".I have never been charged with any drug related crime, either.Did they pick me at random?

That sucks Arioch, I can sympathize, I've had the cops called on quite a few of my different bands over the years while practicing... I played a Gibson Thunderbird bass ran through an Ampeg SVTIV pro head that was 1600 watts with two seperate 800 watt internal power amps through an Ampeg 8 x 10 and an Ampeg 2 x 15...Talk about fucking loud lol......Can't really blame the cops though cause they are just doing their jobs but fucking asshole neighboors suck...I can relate..:rolleyes:

In my old band, we used to get the cops called on us all the time...It just comes with the territory......Don't let it bother you too much......As for the neighbors who call, put a dead cat in their mail box...That seems to shut them up :D

Yeah, I had a problem with my neighbor blasting music at 1 in the morning. He and his wife would sit on their back porch and drink while blasting their shitty music. On week nights. Some of us have to go to work. Anyway, the first time I ignored it the best I could. The second time I called him and told him to turn it down. Which he did.
The next time I'm going to smash his stereo and beat him down in front of his wife.:D

if he does it again after that you should fist-rape him in front of his children then beat their cat to death with their faces

just a question because NO they will not pick u at random. its in the constitution, 4th amendment about a warrant and probable cause. if they had a warrant, that means they had probable cause to think that yes, u were dealing. with that information, went to a magistrate who reviewed it and signed. then of course led to you.

as for the probable cause that culd be anything. odds are they knew u were smoking, as for the dealing it could have been anything. perhaps u looked like a person they were after, or some people 'snitched' on you. its not so farfetched to get the wrong person or house, especially in neighborhods like mine where the houses all look the same.

I know that for any thing they take they must give u a receipt (doesnt mean u can get it back, in this case it was illegal stuf anyway). as for tearing through your house, was anything damaged? theyre not allowed to breka anything and if u do u could file suit. constitution also states 'places to be searched and effects to be seized.' if they were looking for shitload of marijuana then yah, they can tear through yourhouse. now if they were looking for shit, a stolen elephent then they could obviously only look where an elephant can hide.

just glad to know im finally learning somethin that can be applied to real life

i could be wrong but 'my high times' would fall under drug paraphanelia. doesnt matter whether or not they were abel to sell it. back alley type stores sell all kindsa stuff they arent allowed to (eg majority of exotic animal trade)

as for the door, if they wouldve damaged that then yes, u wouldve been reimbursed.

Having the cops called is just apart of having a band. If the band REALLY sucked and I lived Right next door, I would think about calling, but I wouldn't. even if your neighbors are douche bags, man come on 10 is pretty late for hardcore music. I've had the cops called on me dozens of times and also shut down our shows. Question where do you play at?

Its most likely it was someone you told or someone that over heard you. God I feel sorry for your kids man.
