The scariest horror film, ever?

So what do people think is the scariest horror film ever? A question probabally answered a million times by each person but still an important one. I myself admit to having a soft spot for scream, yet it makes me laugh more than anything? Yet I was a bit spooked by blair witch and exorcist?

EXTR3MIST 10-26-2004 04:20 AM

Pink Floyd's The Wall, viewed on acid.

ShankS 10-26-2004 04:33 AM

Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas at 7.:30am after a night on Beer and Coke..... I was like wtf?!?! I gota get out of here!!

Sistinas 10-26-2004 04:39 AM

Showgirls

Sir wigglepig 10-26-2004 05:07 AM

Interesting! Ive never heard of it or dun acid so me and you are worlds apart. I may be a bit of a lepar saying this and the is probably something I am missing but isnt that a song?

Sir wigglepig 10-26-2004 05:11 AM

It seams I am missing out, I guess I need to experiment with a few substances in order to promote my cinema viewing pleasure. I watched 'Don't be a menace to city central while drinking your juice in the hod' while off my face on fosters cider, it helped!

movieman64 10-26-2004 05:24 AM

Halloween, it's a modern day classic.

SauxVage 10-26-2004 10:21 AM

Your first statement makes you an ass, but the second one is kinda true.

North. When I was younger I couldn't count the number of times I'd wake up in a cold sweat crying "Mommy, mommy, how did they get funding?"

Oh... my... God...

The Parkers
I saw that once on the WB, I still can't believe they arn't getting sued for stealing
The Blob and putting it in there. All they did was give it a big mouth and changed it's color. Still a ripoff.

It may not be a movie, but the hidden messages hidden in old records really freaked me out. Made me laugh my head off.

urgeok 10-27-2004 07:01 AM

I cant believe no one mentioned Yentl.

Sedated_replica 10-27-2004 01:43 PM

No my whole statement was true, Pink Floyd is hippie music. Are you a Dirty Hippie?

urgeok 10-27-2004 02:20 PM

I like to consider myself a punk rocker, but that doesn't mean i don't appreciate great music in other genres!;)
Wish You Were Here is one of my top 5 favorite songs.

urgeok 10-27-2004 02:50 PM

On another forum (music) I named it as the most perfect song of all time :) about 3 days ago.

My father asked me to make sure it was played at his funeral.:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

urgeok 10-27-2004 03:05 PM

well, that might put a different spin on it...

Who does he want to take to the grave with him ?

I'm actually a huge punk fand as well (anything good in any genre like you said) but i hold an unpopular opinion that Punk came and went with the Sex Pistols ..

When he listens to the song I don't think he means he wants to take people with him, I think he is saying he will miss us(his family) while we apart and that he will be in a better place and wants us all together again.

I am sorry but I cannot believe that punk left with the Pistols-they brought punk to peoples attention but were not the only ones who were "groun breaking".Don't get me wrong though, I adore them!

And on that note-Is it possible to find The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle on DVD?I have seen it on vhs(itself hard to find).

urgeok 10-27-2004 03:17 PM

i've got it on laserdisc :)

I also have a set top DVD burner so if you seriously want it I can make a DVD copy for you that will look as good as an origional...

newb 10-27-2004 03:27 PM

He could "airmail letter post" it for about $4.

newb 10-27-2004 03:27 PM

It would take between 4 and 7 days.:)

urgeok 10-27-2004 03:51 PM

sistinas .. did you get the last pm ?

EXTR3MIST 10-28-2004 03:56 AM

The Wall (1982/Alan Parker) is the film adaptation of Pink Floyd's seminal 1979 double album.

It is a visual and aural feast, with barely any dialogue and more than enough surreal and aggressive imagery to keep you occupied with or without drugs.

Dirty hippies?

I bet you're into Avril Lavigne and Michael Jackson.

Lemora

Once again (I posted another thread elsewhere), I put in a vote for "LEMORA." I seriously think it is one of the scariest and most disturbing movies I've seen. Maybe the scariest. It's still been seen by very few people, so I would call it obscure, despite its recent DVD reissue.

I also find "The Haunting" scary, and "Night of the Living Dead" is still scary.

Nemesis412 11-02-2004 02:04 PM

Well yes besides a couple of good songs yes Floyd prolly does suck his balls really
