this has nothing to do with movies but the fact that i only been on this site little less then a year and already i'm getting bash on being called retard or ppl just saying how horrible noobs are. well if it werent for ppl like me this site wont function and all of you at one point and time where also noobs. i came here to enjoy talking with other ppl about things i like, so for you ppl that been here for who nows how long pls give some of us a chance some of us here are actually trying to post real convos and not just here to fuck around.

Consider it a rite of passage.

the n00bs get bashed in the noob one, becasue they fucking deserve it. If they cant handle it, then I dont care. They can watch horror but cant handle a 'Fuckoff'.

I don't personally have anything against noobs. A few of the more established posters here enjoy a little "noob bashing", but they're not usually all that serious.
Unfortunately, a thread like this is probably begging for at least a few ppl to come in and call you a friggin' crybaby.
I know my post count looks pretty low just now, but I HAVE just changed my account, I've actually been posting in here for over 2 years. There's was some ball busting goin' on when I first came in, as per almost anywhere, but I gotta say, I've seen WAY less of that happen here than I've seen go on at certain other forums.
But trust me, if you post a few new threads of your own (Not old topics, that's just an invitation for someone to have a go at you, observe the existing threads around you) doesn't even have to be directly horror related, post in a few of the existing threads that interest you, and I garauntee you'll no doubt come across a lot of people with similar interests, I think if you can keep it cool, you'll really enjoy it here. If you're into horror, you came to the right place.
Just make sure you don't take anything too seriously
(within reason, if there's an ongoing harrassment issue, or overly derogatory statements being made about you, stand your ground and tell whoever says it that it's not cool with you, in a MATURE way, and if all else fails consult the moderation)
Recognise the difference between a serious personal attack and just ball busting for laughs or to get a rise outta you...keep in mind though, that often an over-reaction to this kind of thing can start an argument that wasn't gonna be there in the first place.

Amen. I mean, EVERYONE here was a newbie at once, I'm sure we've all had our share of bashing here and there. But you don't see us crying about it. I see you as that kind of person who cries to your mother when that bigger kid stole your lunch money. Stand tall, don't let what we say get to you, it's like a tradition to bash newbies. If you can't handle the heat, get out Horror.com. But to be frank, I can't see how someone can enjoy Horror but when someone calls them something they get all worked up about it. I mean Horror has blood, guts and gore. And you can handle watching that like us, but when someone calls you a newbie or a insulting word because you are a newbie you get all worked up. Jesus, we all got worked up for being called names and newbies I don't think anyone else would even be here. I bash newbies in the newbie forum to see if they will still stay here afterwords. If a few insults scares someone off then they don't belong here on Horror.com.
