It's "ORIGINAL" amk.
I've only ever seen the ?80's? version, but being a kid when I first saw it...It fucking rocked...scary movie, total bullshit, but enjoyable, as were many films of that era which came to pass... |
Thanks Cheeb, I suck at spelling!!!
|

The Blob
I support the original "The Blob" (1958) wholeheartedly. I think it's a classic, and well written. They're both fun, though.
And then there is "Beware! The Blob" (1972), and that's a LOT of fun, not because it's a good movie, but because it's a STRAAAAAANGE movie. |

The original Blob was good, the remake was good too. The Basket case series was quite unique I agree, but worth watching. |
I love "The Blob". Classic horror movies, both of them.

I'll have to check out that Beware! the blob flick...
i saw one on tv as a kid... and the blob in that movie was bright red... not pinkish... could that be the beware the blob movie? |
Beware! The Blob
Well...yes, the blob was bright red for "Beware! The Blob."
The big difference between "The Blob" and "Beware! The Blob" is that the first one is serious and the sequel is sort of a comedy. Also, the first film was made in 1958 and its message was, "The James Dean-type juvenile delinquents are really decent people if you give them a chance." The message of the 1972 sequel was, "The hippies are really decent people if you give them a chance." |
