It sounded like a chainsaw at first.

This was filmed about a mile from my house. We heard the explosion when they blew up the house. That lake still has a "Camp Crystal Lake" sign painted near it. A friend of mine was in it and her scene got cut, but she still has it on tape at her house.

the look was good, but at the expense of any sort of continuity. Particularly in his face. He never looked like that before, and he never did again. Although, to be fair, the only time we saw his face after that was in part 8, and he was crying and screaming like a bitch after he got toxic waste thrown in his face, but you can tell he wouldn't have looked like that even without the green food colouring splashed on him

Jason did look pretty awesome.

from part 7 onwards the character of jason got better due to the fact that kne hodder played jason from parts 7 - 10, kane hodder (in my opinion) made jason what he is, that was the only dissapointment in freddy vs jason, that kane hodder wasnt allowed to reprise the role, they wanted a younger person to play jason, so in came ken kirzinger who did an ok job, but he didnt have the real jason characteristic in the walk and the way he dealt the death, here's hoping enough fans feel the same way and demand kane hodder to play jason in the freddy vs jason sequel.

and my friday the 13th boxset should be with me next week and im psyched, cuz im used to the british cut movies and when the US versions arrive on my doorstep i will see the real, uncut versions of the films

Kane Hodder was doing an okay job until Jason X then the beer gut started getting in the way.
Personally I thought Ken Kirzinger did a great job in Freddy Vs Jason. He had the walk down and the cool icy calm in his actions when swinging that machete about. Don't get me wrong I liked Kane Hodder in the earlier films but he wasn't cut out for Freddy Vs Jason.

this friday was ok, my third favourite, the origanal is my favourite, then part 6, then the new blood

Friday the 13th Part VII was awesome in my opinion. Was definately different to the rest of the series which IMHO worked better for it. I liked the fact that Jason got his ass kicked for awhile. I however HATED the ending with the dad jumping out of the water with the chain. Very lame.

The make up for Jason in Part VII was also the best of any of the series. They took into account all the trauma that Jason has endured and made his make up incredible, once again IMHO.

Part IV is still my favourite of the series (probably mostly because it was the first "real" horror/slasher film I ever saw and gave me nightmares for weeks), followed by Part III and then Part VII.

one complaint of mine in this film... at the end.. he is drug down without a mask... at the beginning of 8.. doesn't he have a mask on already ?

this is one of the better films in the series in my opinion though... this was the first really tattered looking jason
