Doom is coming the big screen
 

Yep, Doom is being made into a movie. I read it on the Internet Movie Database. I have mixed feelings about this, the Rock is going to be the main character I think. I dont know what else to say. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0419706/

I never have been a real fan of DOOM. But this movie MAY be good. But The Rock? I don't see how, but ok. Good luck. I can't honestly say I'm going to be straining myself waiting for this soon-to-be masterpiece:rolleyes: God, they're make a movie out of anything these days. Next thing you know they will be making Resid... oh, wait, they already have. Next thing you know theres going to be a Alone in the... evermind, I'm just going to stop here.

I am just not sure about The Rock, he is mainly an action star I dont see him pulling this one off easy. This movie will have to be ultra-scary or true veteran horror fans will not even pay attention.

Anywho, who cares if he's mainly an action guy? It's mainly an action game. Say what you will, the game was a guy going around shooting stuff. That's like saying Wolfenstien 3D is horror.

I hope it gets made. And the Rock would be a good choice.If it was made 10 years ago, Arnold would have been the obvious choice,but seeing that the gauntlet has been passed [ quite literally in The Rundown ] it looks like the Rock is the action star for the new age. And like Sam says, this will surely be an action movie.

I wasnt sure on the rock acting either, but after i saw Walkin Tall it kinda gave me a different perception about him, anyway the rock wont make this suck, it the way they do the monsters, i know the game had some pretty hellacious monsters i hope the movies can capture that same effect.

the Rock will be ok in it I spose, who else would fit the part?? but what I wana know, will he be wearing his hotpants in the film?? cos that'll make a Cyberdemon laugh his ass off.

I heard that Karl Urban is going to be in it, either as the lead character or something else.

thats the guy from LotR aint it, he should be good in a leading role.

After watching "Soldier" the other day, I personally think Kurt Russell would be perfect for the role. Not only does he fit the description of the hero from DOOM but he can actually act....unlike the Rock and Vin Diesel.

dunno bout kurt, VIN oh please! and arnold,,, ehh even 10 years ago i dunno. to me, Doom always seemed very american and schwarzeneggers accent just doesnt seem to fit with it, at least IMO. DOOM kinda reminds me of serious sam.... which i immediately thought 'dude, thats fuckin rollins' when i played it. rollins is pretty hot for a old guy..

I just get shivers when I think about a DOOM movie, it's like okay the rock...no way....ugh...then....ugh....overuse of CGI.....ugh....pathetic.....they just have to make a movie out of it to ruin it for us who were there in the begining...ugh..

Honestly, I could care less if the Crock is in it.....I am a big fan of the Doom games, as was I for Mortal Kombat---You all know where I'm going with this...Right? MK Sucked!!!!!!!! Probably Doom will be doomed. So far, the only movie from the video game genre that was half way okay was Resident Evil (pt. II was aight too). These are my opinions.

I agree with fluff, Rollins would be great.I don't understandc why everyone despises the Rock, Walking Tall and THe Rundown were both decent IMO.

They despise the Rock because he's a wrestler, and there seems to be a (fairly unjustified) bias against wrestling around here

I was being sarcastic about The Rock. I am a big fan of Pro Wrestling and hope that The Rock does this movie justice (Doom). And yes The Rundown and especially Walking Tall were great. I just hate when I as a fan am awaiting for a real great video game to be made into a movie and it absolutely sux! "House of the Dead"---need I say more? As far as The Rock is concerned...he is actually a pretty good actor as well as Pro Wrestler. Maybe he'll decide what he's going to do with his career and stick with it. These are only my opinions.
