Crimson Room

Anyone ever try this before? You in a room and you have to try and find clues to get out. Pretty challenging, I'm still stuck in the room.

Stingy Jack 10-03-2004 04:49 AM

Never tried this, but I'm going to. Waiting on the thing to load right now (fucking dial-up).

WaR38 10-03-2004 04:55 AM

Yeah it's pretty intereasting.

Stingy Jack 10-03-2004 05:48 AM

Well, I just beat Crimson Room. A little frustrating in that you have to practically click everywhere before you can win, but once you've found everything in the room, winning is pretty simple. Kind of fun, weak ending ... certainly not rewarding enough for the frustration it caused.

WaR38 10-03-2004 06:49 AM

Haha yeah I didn't beat it yet, kinda pissed me off so put it on hold. They have other versions also if you want to get frustrated again.

amycutthroat 10-03-2004 08:16 AM

there is a sequel

Rebel Yell 10-03-2004 08:17 AM

This game is making me want to bash my brains in. Not a bad game at all, but very irritating.

Agreed.

Sistinas 10-03-2004 08:41 AM

Arg, this game is driving me nuts!I cant figure out what to do with the 3rd key!!!!!!

amycutthroat 10-03-2004 08:53 AM

once you get the movie working, clicking in a specific spot will reveal a safe. the key may be used there

Rebel Yell 10-03-2004 09:07 AM

What the shit? How in the hell are you supposed to get the movie to work without a fuckin' tv or VCR?

amycutthroat 10-03-2004 09:09 AM

you need all the components.

hint: eff with the window shade and the corners by the bed, look under the dresser, connect the cable to the cd player and open the cd drawer....

oh, and there is a new one, but it's lamer. blue chamber

I like the 2nd one best

Rebel Yell 10-03-2004 09:15 AM

I've done all that. I believe I am missing one piece and I can't find that shit for nothing.

amycutthroat 10-03-2004 09:15 AM

ok, do you have the battery?

Rebel Yell 10-03-2004 09:18 AM

I do believe that is the one piece I can't seem to find.

Rebel Yell 10-03-2004 09:18 AM

click on the lower lefthand corner when facing the blank wall.

Rebel Yell 10-03-2004 09:20 AM

put all the pieces in their appropriate spots on the red box

Rebel Yell 10-03-2004 09:26 AM

YEah. I figured it out. I feel like an idiot right about now.

Rebel Yell 10-03-2004 09:33 AM

Ok, so that bitch in the video points to the spot, but no matter how many times I click that fucker, nothing happens.

Radical Edward 10-03-2004 09:38 AM

MOTAS is a lot better. much like this, more difficult, but with a point

problem is, it is being released in chapters. so i dunno how far i got, but i didnt solve it yet.

but once u get past the intro, u can pick whtaq chapter u want to go to. anyway its been several months since i played, it may be fnished by now. its pretty cool since it has a point (a story line)

GDIS

You have to wait until the movie ends, then you click the spot the shadow pointed to three times. This will reveal the wall safe.

Rebel Yell 10-03-2004 09:52 AM

I have tried that about a million times. I don't think I am hitting the right spot and it is pissing me off.

Stingy Jack 10-03-2004 10:09 AM

The shadow will dance, at towards the end of the dance, he will point to a spot on the wall and a little "x"-like crosshair will appear on the spot. The crosshair will flash three times (which tells you how many times to click). What I did was placed my pointer right in the middle of the cross-hair and left it there until the movie shut off. Then I clicked three times. Maybe that will help ya.

Rebel Yell 10-03-2004 10:10 AM

I had done that a few times, but it kept taking me back to the dresser, but it finally worked. Now I am on the safe, but I don't know the stupid numbers.

Stingy Jack 10-03-2004 10:14 AM

lol Did you get the "memo" out of the dresser? On the memo is a URL that you will have to go to (I reccommend opening a new browser window for this, so that you don't have to restart the whole Crimson Room thing all over again). The URL on the memo takes you to the "yellow chamber" where you will get the code for the safe.

Hate_Breeder 10-03-2004 10:20 AM

Where do i find all the things to open the box? And i cant find a movie..

Stingy Jack 10-03-2004 10:24 AM

The small ring is on the glass dish on the dresser. The large ring falls to the floor when you open and close the curtain several times. The metal rod is between the mattress and the headboard (you will have to lift the pillow and click on the line between the mattress and the headboard to find it). Put all of these on the box lid, and it will open (it is a projector.) Then, just insert the casette tape (from under the dresser) and the battery (from the bottom edge of the bed next to the wall) and the movie will start.
