haha, you should see my post in the love song thread in the music forum. Although true emo is good shit like still life, but it's all good.

I cannot fucking stand emo, that is poser punk to me.

You listed some wpmderful shit in there though. I am down with emo. Some of it is amazing.

well, the actual classification of emo as a genre is post hardcore, most stuff that's called emo these days is power-pop or acoustic indie rock.

Thank you! My tastes in music are pretty expansive. I try not to shut stuff out because it's mainstream because i was really obnoxious about it when I was 15. Everyone was a poseur in my book. I wish i could slap myself!

Wow i think im in love. I have basically the same thing. I dont really like most "emo" though. But i do like HIM and their semi emo in my book. I listened to Placebo and i thought they sucked. But i'll try anything..

well again the whole emo genre is so distorted these days. i dislike that label so much it's not funny. :)

I know it's mainstream and to some people that means retarted but I LOVE Dashboard Confessional and all the posers that came after him. His songs always seem to have a meaning in my life.
