I'd rather smell tequila while hung over any day of the week as opposed to food poisoning.

What she's asking is this:

If you had a choice between eating a food that you hadn't ate in a long time because last time you ate it, you got food poisoning, or smelling tequilla during a tequilla hangover, which would you choose?

The food is not poisoned, but you once had food of the same type that was.

Def. the first....I can smell tequila without a hangover and get sick...I can't stand that shit....give me whisky and beer anyday.....
