A dvd-burner question!!!

What programs do i need?

My problem is, that when i burn movie files on a dvd to play it on my dvd-player the outcome so far has been:

1. The DVD-player can´t read the dvd.

2. The dvd-player can run the movie, but without any sound.

3. The dvd-player can run the movie, but it´s like there´s scratches all over the dvd and the audio either is too fast or to slow to keep up with the visuals.

So far i´ve tried to burn via Windows xp, Windows media, Nero 6. Same outcome.

HELP!!

are you burning from another DVD - or an image ?

if you want to copy a DVD to a DVD you need a program like DVDshrink

Dvd Shrink [ freeware ] with nero should do the trick.

HELP!!

Sometimes a perfect copy can run like that if used in a player that doesn't do a good job playing copied DVDs. My father in laws can't play copies without skips, slowdowns, and chops while my DVD player runs those same discs flawlessly.

Does the dvd play ok on your pc? Maybe a pc problem rather than a dvd one.

Perhaps something is missing during the copying of the dvd.

Maybe its the codex
