Help! (Not the Beatles Song)
 

Well last night my brother decided to throw his going away party, and needless to say i was pretty fucked up. Anyways i get on MSN and my friend sends me a picture, and im drunk so i didnt think too much of it...well it was a virus and now my whole computer is fucked. So if someone can suggest some ideas on how to get rid of it....or if you have a Product Key for Norton Antivirus 2005, it would be much appreciated.

yes.......i did receive a message from you on messenger which looked like a virus.

download McAfee Stinger, it will scan for the main viruses, such as ones that get sient via msn, that 9 times out of 10 do not actually come from anyone you know....you get spammed a message or picture from somewhere, thats tricks you into thinking it's from someone you know.

follow the instructions for your particular operating system, as you must disable system restore, otherwise the virus will still remain.

who actually bothers with system restore?

first thing i turn off along with error reporting

so do I, it's a system resource hog, but the majority of users wont, or probably don't even know it exists..

personally i'd prefer the couple of gigs of space back
