I had low expectations for this movie but I think most people enjoyed "Joy Ride"... I did. Its a good movie and I will probably add it to my collection one of these days. I always enjoyed crazed man chasing and harassing someone with their truck premise. I want to watch "Duel" now.

Rusty Nail: Candy Cane? Hey anybody know a Candy Cane?

I was bored this afternoon, and decided to watch one of the movies I bought today. I settled on Jeepers Creepers. It's been quite awhile since I saw it, and it lost much of it's effect. When I first saw it, I was very new to horror, and not very acostomed[I know I spelled that wrong] to gore. At the time, I was shocked by some of the more brutal parts of this movie. Now, althouigh they are pretty cool, the effect is different. I still think it's a great movie though...MUCH better than #2. One of the coolest monster/slasher characters since Freddy, IMO.

I thought the best part on the dvd was the actors comentary feature. That was fucking funny to hear Steve Zahn babeling during half the movie like a drunk kid.

I liked the movie also. Thought it was entertaining as hell.

Thumbs up!

jenna26 07-10-2005 07:36 PM

Hostage. Damn, Ben Foster was a vicious son of a bitch in that one. :D I liked a lot of it and it was a little more violent than I expected.

AUSTIN316426808 07-10-2005 08:17 PM

How nonviolent can you expect a Bruce Willis movie called Hostage to be?

Good point. But did I say I expected it to be nonviolent? No, I didn't. I expected it to be violent and bloody. But how dark it got at times still managed to surprise me a little.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban

One of my friends is completly obsessed with Harry Potter, and was pissed that I saw/own/enjoyed the other movies in the series, yet hadnt seen the 3rd. So, she brought it to my house last night and we watched it. Now, seeing as Askaban was my least favourite book in the series, I wasnt expecting much. I was pleasently surprised:)

The effects were pretty good, the acting was more than decent, and it's always nice to see some elements of horror shoved in there [The dementors were damn cool]

That chick from Harry Potter is getting hot. Hermione or whatever. At least I think so...

alkytrio666 07-11-2005 06:59 AM

Ok, so I spent a total of 36 hours in a car over the last week and a half or so. So here's the movies I saw over that time, plus the ones I watched over vacation. I've already seen all of these, I basically just brought my collection.

Scream
Scream 2
Scream 3
Airplane
Airplane II (Twice)
Dr. Strangelove or: How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
Amityville II: The Possesion
Amityville 3D
Hot Shots (Hadn't seen this before.)
Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Muppets Take Manhattan
Halloween
Psycho
Napoleon Dynamite

Those are my last seen movies.

May (that B#$@# is crazy)

It wasnt great but it wasnt bad either. I thought the acting was great. The plot was very predictable. There wasnt much suspense in it. I wasnt creeped out at all. I would give it a 7/10.
