Also bought Salaryman Kinato boxset, can't watch it yet as the TV is goosed and you can't read subtitles, the disappear of the bottom of the screen. Not Good.

Collateral was entertaining and very well-acted until the end. I hated that conclusion, left me very unsatisfied.

I loved the Romero tale in Two Evil Eyes! Fours stars, but the Argento tale is only 2 stars... I'm no mathematician but I guess that averages 3 stars for the entiire film...

Nope. Probably the one mob movie I haven't seen, which is bad because I live in Chicago, where Al Capone was based.

Looking forward to it.

Will do. Might not get around to it for another week or so, but I'm really looking forward to it.

I saw Untouchables for the first time ever last year. Brian de Palma is quite impressive here, though it's not exactly a film I would want to see again in the near future. Remembering the decadent scene introducing de Niro's character always makes me smile.

Latest acquisition... Lizard in a Woman's Skin. Lucio is so underrated.

- Garden State
- The Prestige

Sorry Alky - I went out with every intention to get The Departed, but it was sold out. They said it should be in tomorrow...

alkytrio666 02-20-2007 01:09 PM

It's all good, just do yourself a favor and see it in time to appreciate Martin's first, and long overdue, directing Oscar.

I see you enjoyed Garden State, eh?

I'll run down again tomorrow at lunch hour....you've got me pretty psyched to see it now, hah.

And yes, I really did enjoy Garden State. Watched it last night and bought it today....I thought it was fantastic.

- Infernal Affairs Trilogy Boxset

They were still sold out of The Departed, so I went for the next best thing. Kind of wanted to see the original first anyway...

The_Return 02-22-2007 12:36 PM

Perfect follow up to my above post:

- The Departed (2-Disc SE)

Very excited to see it...wont have a chance for a couple days, but it'll most likely be the next movie I watch.
